Quit complaining and support your friend by going to the wedding.

It’s sad that a football game is more important to you than a friendship. No one’s going to notice if you miss the game but your friend will notice your absence at the wedding. The bride is acting like a female - big shock there.

Grow up and do the right thing.

We got married on a Friday during football season but it was a bye weekend. But now our anniversary is interfering with games! Dammit!

Wow. Thats a double middle finger to the world right there. Basically they are just planning a party. And they do it on that day?

He is a LSU fan and is blaming this on her.

Doesn’t’ bode well for the future of this marriage. She will wear the pants in this marriage and he will be miserable until the divorce !

politely told him to STTDB and that our friendship wasn't worth me missing the game.

He'll be better off without you in his life and you don't have to deal with the inconvenience of friends anymore....win win

My wife’s cousin is getting married on the same day in South Carolina. We live in bham and always go to the LSU-bama game (she’s a bama fan). I was pretty pissed. I finally told her that I’m gonna have to stay for the game.. she wasn’t thrilled but my in-laws were cool w it and actually gave me their tickets. They understood its one of the few times I get to see LSU and close friends from La.

I went to the LSU vs A&M game back in 2011 or 12 can’t remember, but same day a buddy of mine was getting married. He was cool with me missing she wasn’t. Since that day my buddy’s wife won’t let him speak to me.

Tell him you’ll be there for his second wedding if he picks a better weekend.

Most surprising part of this post is that you expect people to believe this.
