Neal is my favorite from this class. I started a thread on RB saying he had more technique/moves than any DE on LSUs roster: power rush, swim, shoulder dip & rip, speed rush. I'm very excited to see him play. He just seems to be a natural pass-rusher.

My question also. Has anybody heard if he passed his classes? I assume he hasn't been cleared yet?

If it means anything, he is on the current depth chart wearing #21.

Redshirt might be for the best to both put on weight and focus on academics.

well if we're going off of looks alone, Corey Thompson should be a 1st Team AA selection by the end of the season.

Nah. He only retook classes he messed up on his freshman year, since then his grades were good and so was his gpa. A higher gpa balances out his ACT.

His classes this upcoming semester will be easy anyway. Freshman classes at most colleges are a joke. He can take the easiest classes in fall and harder ones during the spring.

He's also gained a good bit of muscle.

The whole conversation was started because of the speech CLM's gave at the Rotary Club yesterday.

Hell, that's how we found out about Stephen Rivers being "lighter and throwing better this summer".

No we didnt have any idea about this.

Look back after the season starts and tell me how correct this speculation was.
Who wouldve thought that Josh Downs wouldve beaten out The Freak the entire year at this point last season and he had already been on the team 2 years and was an EE.
Miles and his Coordinators arent 100% sure who will be the starters game 1, much less significant playing time from the backups.

People are always trying to figure out which freshman is going to be a star out the gate. It's like having a girlfriend and always wondering about new pussy. News Flash folks: the studs we already have will prob play a lot better than the new guy on campus
