I don't think he will get redshirted either. He has elite potential and swagger. Also has amazing speed and length. We could need him against big body receivers. He'll get just as much playing time as Tharold Simon did his freshman year

I said since i saw bower in june that he would play. the dude is physically imposing and looked bigger than danielle hunter. Guy is a monster. I expected beckwith and white to play. I have high hopes for neal but wasnt sure he would see the field before herron and bower. ricky came out of nowhere. I figured hed play safety for us, but not as a frosh with thompson and martin on the team.

I saw Frank with crutches and whatever surgery or injury he had was done before he arrived at LSU. So I would assume that it was a knee scope. He should be ok for the season.

I just don't see any way Beckwith is not starting at some point this season at outside LB. Too big and athletic to not push someone aside.

As for Robinson, while I agree with those that talk about his talent and pro potential. But everyone glosses over Raymond and Thomas. Both had good springs and are fast as well. So, if they are progressing while Robinson is still not on campus, it would be difficult to imagine him passing those two. BUT..... if he does, then he is special.

Herron had a knee scope but word is that he gained some "bad weight". After he loses that he should be good to go.

we recruited some stub LBs last year. Would be impressive if that happens

as far as DE, Lacouture seemed like the guy that could see the most early PT. Even possibly some snaps at DT

I think it would be cool if Jefferson came around and became a great DB for us. Is that TE slated to start week 1?

So, have we finally put to bed the myth that Miles favors upper classmen?

Elite swagger, eh? Well, that's a first.

Terrible myth. Freshman usually always get good playing time, especially defensive players. Boatload of freshmen got playing time this year on both sides of the ball.

Neal epitomizes what we would like every recruit and now player to be like. He puts team first, never misses a workout, puts in extra workouts and film study, and has a 100% positive attitude! He has the wingspan of a 6'4" person with violent intentions! He will be a great one!!! Already polished technique wise.!!

I mean I didn't say today start him. I said, at some point.... I also realize there were some very good LB "prospects" signed a year ago, but none are/were Beckwith. Physically he is way ahead of most of last years crop today. But as we know, time will tell. I just feel he has more tools than any other LB outside of Kwon and Barrow. I think he is as fast as Tahj but obviously in a bigger frame.

Not at all. The 2011 defense had loads of swagger. It's just another word for confidence. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Elite swagger. I didn't know swagger could be graded.

Like the NFL doesn't put stock in intangibles like confidence, leadership, work ethic, etc...

Even though it's opinion, they still put some type of educated grading system towards those attributes and others.

My question also. Has anybody heard if he passed his classes? I assume he hasn't been cleared yet?
