Something isn't adding up just yet. If he couldn't swim (which I'm sure he could) I don't see how a 6'7 guy drowns in a family pool. This is terrible.

Shallow water blackout, seizure, slip and bust your head, etc. shite can happen around water, and if you're by yourself, you're SOL.

I can swim like a fish and I don't swim alone. It's just something I don't do.

Terrible to hear. Especially after the tragedy yesterday. Rough weekend for the UNO family.

Very sad indeed, toula. I saw him at Brady's a few nights ago. Can't believe it.

Seems like everyone from Ponchatoula knows what happened now, kinda strange. I remember he was draining three's on fools in the PHS gym when I was a senior and I think he was like in 7th or 8th grade. He seemed like a good kid.

a key issue to me is that he quit the UNO team due to "medical reasons." That's a reason you don't hear much, and if it was cancer or another serious medical condition, I think we'd have heard about it.

So to me, I just assumed it meant drugs, but now I'm thinking it could have been depression.

That's very serious stuff.
