That had zero to do with either loss, but okay.

That outfield we put on the field during that super regional was the slowest group of outfielders I have ever seen at this level, but they all made up for it by having weak arms....

Good for him, at one point he was trade bait.

Yeah...and their fans were kinda down on him too. They were wondering if he would ever develop the consistency needed to be a solid part of their rotation.

Didn't know Gausman was getting it up to 98-99mph back in 14. Wow!

I'm sure I'll get a lot more negative feedback in this thread, but I've said this before to numerous upvotes:

Gausman in the rain was the biggest pussy shite in the history of LSU baseball. Mestepey should have been allowed to kick him in the dick. Anti-bulldog

I seem to remember a bunch of balls dribbling to the wall on 2-3 bounces

Define "a bunch" and tell me if those wouldn't have been hits with most other OFs...

Grayson Byrd's fear of hard work is only slightly better than Gausman scowling and doing the weird gripping shite on the ball, basically telling Stony Brook that he wasn't going to be able to pitch because it was wet. It was the worst gut-check performance I've seen in a long time from an LSU player.

Stony Brook's outfield would have gotten to the vast majority of the ones in the gap. We know, because in that series, they did. The ones down the lines, little change. Not sure why you are defending the LSU has 8 first baseman and 6 catchers era of recruiting, though.

We followed it up with the Mary-arm outfield era. Now we are in the midst of the "you have to have played shortstop" era.

I'm saying we didn't lose that series because of our defense. It was our hitting that shite the bed. 1 run; 2 runs. Was it a shite outfield? absolutely. Not defending that.

These are some excellent hot takes, rick.
