We know. You still haven't addressed the point. Go watch him pitch. You tell me how he handled the adversity.

Well. He bounced back after a bad inning to have a good performance

When it stopped raining? Yeah, he did.

quote:

"Really, I was just trying to get the grip on my pitches,'' Gausman said. "I was having trouble having that feel for my pitches, and I had to use rosin; that was something different. It's definitely not an excuse. I just couldn't find it, and I felt like I didn't have that pinpoint accuracy.''

Let's stop bagging on Gausman, though, because I just remembered the dumbest fricking thing from that game. Jordy fricking Snikeris got thrown out stealing second on ball 4 to the batter. Good work, fricktard, that's like the hardest out to make in baseball and cost us a run.

So it rained, he lost his grip and release point, he gave up 2 runs, then showed toughness and steel balls to bounce back and have a good performance.

Not to mention the steel balls it took to do this after saving game 1 earlier in the day.

Our hitting sucked donkey balls. I am fine with ragging on them that weekend

My son and I saw him pitch last year at Minute maid against the astros. Dude was still throwing 97-98 in the 7th inning.

One of the best pitching duels I ever saw in college was the LSU-MOO state game his junior year at the box when State had Chris Stratton. IIRC Jacoby hit a double in the 10th to knock in a run. He had basically whiffed all game.
