picyune article:

Former LSU player Jacob Hester brings experience to New Orleans Saints tryout
Having played 65 games over five seasons in the NFL, Jacob Hester has more fullback experience than anybody on the New Orleans Saints roster.
Even so, the former LSU running back is with the Saints for their weekend minicamp only on a three-day tryout basis despite signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers fullback Erik Lorig to a four-year deal in March.
"He's one of those veteran players that's here on a three-day workout," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "He's smart. He's very instinctive. You can see that. He makes good decisions when he has the ball."

Hope Hester makes it he's just a football player all the way around, think he would be a great special teams guy. Is Jefferson going out for QB or did he finally change positions ? former Tigers putting in the work.

Hester, I can see as a modern day Hokie Gajun. JJ. ...... come on ......SERIOUSLY?????????

Yes that's what it said in the write up. Jacob Hester and Jordan Jefferson on the 70 man tryout.

Hester has always been a good ST player, too, which could help him. But the Saints already having signed a FA is going to make it tough.

I can only imagine jj in a room listening to Brees and SP talking while going over film....
Talk about making his head explode!

I don't get why Hester hasn't stuck on a team with his skill set. He can be a blocking FB, a power HB, a receiving threat, and a special teams standout.

Dunno, I guess his size might be considered on the small side not being a true tailback

I'd take a bullet for that guy.

I hope he will make the team. I want to buy a Saints Hester jersey.

Then he lost his job to someone bigger, stronger, faster, younger, etc.

Good luck to Hester; I think he can be a fullback special teams guy. Jefferson has no chance whatsoever, but good luck to him too.

that is a little creepy, especially considering Hester probably wouldn't give him the time of day if he ran a watch store

I will never delete that. He finished dead last in the combine. Behind kickers and everyone else there yet that is his response tweet right after the reports of how horrible he was.

not at all, I appreciate what they've done for LSU, admire their legacy, and wish them the best, I stop short of the creeper/stalker thing, sounds like JH gives you a little woody

Do the Saints keep 2 Fullbacks on the roster this year?...they have done this in the past...but not last year.
Hester is a tweener...not really a tailback and smaller for Fullback...after Drafting Hester...the Chargers put 15-20 pounds on him to bulk up
