Can we get an assessment with perspective? I see more threads that prefer Harris because of ridiculous things and these are just the people that will never see a positive in Jennings play.

From what I've seen, Harris isn't so good that he's separated himself from Jennings. Was there any improvement in Jennings anywhere?

TIA

From what I've heard/seen

Both QBs improved but Harris was better.

Both qbs are improved.

Our starting trio of wrs are going to be insanely hard to defend. They are running dupre in the slot. Imagine the matchup nightmare that nickleback has.

we targeted the te considerably more than previous seasons.

The defensive starters are elite. We are going to have a top 5 national defense.

We are probably going to the ship.

Both played with the number 1's against the back-ups. Both made some nice throws. Harris played better last year. So it would be safe that both looked improved. Isn't that all that is important?

If Jennings were to start, would there be justification?

We got to get the ball to those guys man. Dupre is special.

Quarterbacks - both looked at other options. Harris has a tendency for some happy feet and Jennings still needs to work on accuracy

Running backs -- Darrell Williams would be a great number 1 back in most programs. Leonard will be awesome. Ducre runs really hard ... Absolutely trucked Jefferson. Can't wait to see the young guys

Wide receivers - dupre = aj green; Dural looks bigger; Chark has freakish ability. Quinn returned punts and diarse had some nice catches

Tightened - desean will be a matchup night mare if we get him the ball. Jeter has solid hands. Gordon was Gordon.

Offensive line -- didn't focus too much here as I think the 5 new guys may shake some
Things up this summer but they gave the white team qbs all day to throw

Defensive line --- quay Bain is a stud. Godchaux and lacouture are getting better. Didn't see enough of sione, bower or Clark. Neal didn't play

Linebacker - beckwith played well. Lamar Louis looks like a muscled up ox, duke Riley and Ronnie feist had great spring games (Riley threw fournette backwards for a loss on a swing pass)

Corner - Russell gage needs work; kt2 had a pick off of Harris vs purple team;

Safety - Jamal Adams is a vocal leader ... It's his defense in my mind. Battle had a nice breakup in the redzone

Kicking ... Meh...

Harris made flashy plays, but both guys looked worlds better in their footwork and poise after they settled down. Both benefitted from blown coverages several times. Both seemed much more comfortable finding their check downs, a lot of swing passes out of the backfield and the TEs even got involved. Harris threaded a few needles, but Jennings made big boy throws too. I would say objectively Harris had the better day, but it was closer than the rant will have the believe and overall I was very encouraged to see them both play at a very serviceable level with flashes of really significant improvement.

Harris started the game off with the purple team and couldn't get any blocking so he took off running a bit

When he got settled in on the white team he looked like the better qb than Jennings who was overthrowing receivers, under throwing them or missing them completely on swing passes. Wasn't impressed with him.

Under threw one long pass where the DB fell down a ways away from the WR and still had time to get up, brush himself off and chase Down the WR saving the TD. Had that been in a real game it would have been picked off

Both are vastly better than a year ago.BH was a notch better than AJ today. Being that AJ was a notch better in regular season last year I would say BH has improved his game slightly more. As everyone knows BH's upside is what has us excited and depressed at the same time.

Harris was perfect with the white team. PERFECT. Not sure what more he could do exactly. Both were crap with the Purple. Jennings looks calmer to me. Both look improved. Jennings went through progression better than last year, but still was inaccurate down field. Multiple overthrown balls and the biggest play of the day was an easy TD turned into a long gain because Dural had to almost come to a complete stop to catch the ball.

Running for his life with the backups. When he played with White that wasn't the case.

DB fell down and Dural was wide open. DB had enough time to get up and chase down Dural

Exactly. With the purple team he wasn't getting any blocking

Both QBs looked good with the white and bad with the purple. Jennings had one bad series with the white where he missed some open WRs. Harris probably overall was slightly better, did a good job of extending plays with his legs.

Not a whole lot in the run game. Fournette and Williams ran well with limited touches.

First OLine looked very strong in run and passing game.

WRs looked great. Dural and Dupree are a dynamic combo. Then mix in Chark over the top and Diarse underneath, this will be possibly the best overall unit on either side of the ball.

Front seven looked pretty solid, got a lot of pressure on the QBs and didn't allow much in the run game. Was hoping to see more of Clifton Garrett, but he was pretty much invisible all day.

1st team DBs are phenomenal. Part of the reason the QBs looked bad for the purple was because there wasn't a WR open anywhere. Very impressed with Toliver. He's going to be hard to keep off the field.
