I'm not saying there was a second defender.

It's like the 5th time I've seen him say "I was there". As if it matters.

Ricky Jefferson is coming over the top, I'll admit it's a stretch to call it double coverage, but it was a bad decision.

That player 30 yards behind the play must count as in coverage

We didn't see any of the run read calls today which is where Harris struggled the most last year.

Actually we did and he made 2 misreads that resulted in losses on the play.

Good point bringing that up.

Harris made flashy plays, but both guys looked worlds better in their footwork and poise after they settled down. Both benefitted from blown coverages several times. Both seemed much more comfortable finding their check downs, a lot of swing passes out of the backfield and the TEs even got involved. Harris threaded a few needles, but Jennings made big boy throws too. I would say objectively Harris had the better day, but it was closer than the rant will have the believe and overall I was very encouraged to see them both play at a very serviceable level with flashes of really significant improvement.
Nice summary.

The game was set up to provide confidence for both but also present challenges to both.. The game played out that way and it truly is hard to definitively say that one was much better than the other.. Jennings was a bit more composed and by appearance seemed to lead the offense slightly better but harris has improved in that area and was more athletic in showcasing his skills and arm.. The bottom line is that we learned little that we didn't already know and the staff played the game out, not to distinguish either but to showcase their improvement while still providing a level of continued competition

He's coming at a full sprint towards the receiver and makes it into the close angle frame as toliver catches the ball. Better phrasing is he threw it to a covered receiver while the safety was also coming in support. This is exactly the shite prom was talking about, Harris made a bad throw but you're splitting hairs to cover for him.

All I really got from the game is there is a HUGE drop off from the first team to the second team defense right now.

But you must admit it, you're extremely biased when it comes to Harris vs. Jennings.

Ok let's deal with the facts

QB 1 had 3 passing tds 1 rushing td and 1 int
QB 2 had 2 passing tds 0 rushing tds 0 picks and was sacked atleast twice

Also QB 1 lead the hapless purple team on their only scoring drive.

Now which QB do you think is better?

What safety?? There's no one around the WR besides Toliver for another 10 yards going any direction

I'm not saying it wasn't a bad throw, but it wasn't thrown into double coverage

That's just you having your own biases because double coverage sounds worse than throwing the pick one on one
