I happened to go this game & was on the 20 yard line home side. Loudest outdoor college game I have ever been to. It was absolutely insane. Unreal.

This new generation of fan will never experience anything like that again. And that is unfortunate. No cell phones. No social media. No posing for pics. Just everyone focused on the game.

In today’s game, we would be called for roughing the passer on that pick 6

Of all the games I have seen in Tiger Stadium, and elsewhere, when it is all said and done...

this was probably the Greatest of them ALL!!

if Troy Twillie ever pays for his own food or beer in Baton Rouge, we have failed as a fan base.

I was in the band for that game, and I was at the '07 game as well.

I give the '97 game the edge because of a primal intensity that was there from start to finish.

When Banks scored it was insane, but in the 4th when we interceped the ball on a 3rd and long(Raion Hill or Mark Roman) it was the single loudest individual moment I've ever heard in a stadium.

Well said!! An MVP for a number of games, especially this one.

That option was the best offensive call of the ‘97 year. Such a perfect call at the right time.

Cedric gets the credit for his 2 picks, but damn Twillie’s name just kept getting called.

So much effort and so many stellar performances by so many Tigers that night.

An underappreciated play, that was HUGE, was Twillie's sack of Johnson on 4th down! Mid 3Q I think??

Banks was a bull. Maybe one of the most important parts of the run offense for LSU.

Watching. If this game were played with todays rules on hitting, both defenses would be short handed and suspended for the next game.

DBU was alive and well even back then. Wasn't Chris Cummings the fastest guy in college football one of his years? I can remember him jogging almost waiting for receivers at times.
