Not much in Memphis (unless you're an Elvis freak), but St. Louis is a cool town - the arch, Cardinals, Anheuser Busch. In Omaha, buy a zoo parking pass - which allows you to swing through the zoo with kids and park right next door to the Blatt.

Good. Now tell all of the damn city folks that have come here from BR in the last ten years to go back where they came from.

Russian, I went back in 2000 and it took us 17 hours going the speed limit and stopping three times.

Oh, and I've driven it...
Up thru Shreveport to Dallas, thru Oklahoma City and Witchita, across to Missouri and up. And then back through St. Louis, Memphis, Jackson.
Both ways sucked arse!

If your looking for iconic landscape the drive north out of OK City 75 will take you through some the last remaining tallgrass prairie. Sections still look like it did 200 years ago. Speed limit is 65 or 70 most of the way and not many towns.

Hop on I-49 to Alexandria, then go to 165 and you will mostly have four lane through Bastrop. However, there is no good way to go from North LA to Little Rock unless you do I49 to Shreverport and even then you are going to have a stretch of 2 lane until you hit an Interstate in Arkansas - not to mention its the long way around. Maybe one of these days we will have a four lane from North LA to Arky, but probably not in my lifetime.

you are right, the fans looking ahead/making plans for omaha will cause the LSU team to play worse this weekend
