So you want the retard to get a raise every time he shops himself around after going to the chicken bowl?
It's hard to comprehend how much of a moron you are.
Here's what coaches around Miles pay grad made last year. Miles made right arond 3.8
Saban & Urban - 5+ million
Stoops & Brown - 4+ million
Spurrier, Ferentz, Kelly - 3.5 millionish
Based on Miles' success, current coaches salaries, and what Arkansas is willing to pay him, I'd say Miles is worth 4+ million.

Well, our arguing about whether Miles deserves a raise or not is stupid. He didn't come out and ask for one, somebody else (Arkansas) has made it public knowledge that his market value has risen. They've thrown the offer out on the table in plain sight. It's not a matter of Les doing anything, other than attracting one of our competitor's attention.
Now, LSU is in the position to have to respond, not to Miles, but to Arkansas. If LSU feels that there is someone in place that can continue the current high level without a hiccup, then you ignore Arkansas. If LSU feels Miles is doing the job and that his loyalty would supersede an additional million-plus a year, then you ignore Arkansas. But if you think Miles is doing the job, and you'd be fricked if he splits next month, then you have to respond. Plain and simple.

I agree with what you said, but I think LSU will bend and give him a raise. They won't match it, but they don't want to look like dicks even though Miles' will remain with LSU either way.

Says Obama...
No. Says me who has taken into his home and helped support a very good friend and his wife who had no where else to go. He had a job in the banking industry and was let go. In his late 50's no one wants to train him for a new profession and every job he might have a chance at has hundreds of applicants.
He has retrained himself to be a handyman/carpenter/painter and works whenever he can for $10 to $12/hr. When he has to drive a long ways for the job the cost of gas eats him alive.
So take that Obama crap and stuff it will you? Our great president hasnt done anything for my friend either.

some of you guys need to get out of the dorm and take a business class. LSU, under miles leadership as CEO, is making tons of money. If LSU is making 10-20% more than it did a couple of years ago, then that justifies (DESERVES) a raise.
money ususlly trumps winning to those who receive the money (admin)but not to those who don't receive any money (fans).
in business, corporations take surveys all the time to determine what peers are making. salaries and benefits are adjusted to meet the peer group. arky, tenn, aubie are about to set the bar higher for coaches salaries. under these circumstances, LM deserves a raise. if you only look at the product on the field and make judgments based on how exciting the offense is and how disciplined the players are etc. then maybe he would not derserve a raise under those circumstances.
Parcells said, you are what your record says you are. LM record (in the toughest conf.) says he is one of the best coaches around and he deserves a raise but not to the level of what arky offers.
