the pass to mccoy was right on the money and he hits his receivers in stride. Unlike Flynn.

Really?

Flynn against Auburnt

Flynn against Bama

Flynn against Miss St.

Saminex, there's more if you need them

14/40. He hit a long TD pass on blown coverage where his guy was about 20 yards open...if you can't do that then you shouldn't be playing D-1.

Mauck and Flynn may not have the physical talent of Russell, but I think they are better leaders and I think the team responds better

I have NO clue how you can come to that conclusion from watching there games.

Not to mention Jimob saying JR was one of the best leaders he's ever seen.

Untill RP can stay out of trouble he is pretty useless. I am hoping to see that he had a nice week. Also that he can get some play this week. BEsides that we have to go with Hatch

To say that LSU is not talented is very dumb. Im sure every other poster even if they disagree with me would at least concede to the point that LSU is absolutely loaded on offense.

No i never said that. Im saying because Flynn is not as pysically talented as the other players

But, Flynn can still take us to the BCS title game

he has to make the right reads and the right throw where in the same situation a JR...etc would not.

Anyone can make a highlight reel. Its consistency that matters.

Yes i suppose leadership may be an intangible to factor in... But is very hard to get a definite measure on that characteristic and how it relates to winning.

Dorsey on Flynn's play last night:

"When he's gotta come up with a play, he comes up with a play," senior defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey said. "I know I'm glad he's on my team."

for you to say JPW did bad yesterday is very dumb

He completed 14 of 40 passes. he was sacked 7 times. He dropped back to pass 47 times and had positive yardage 16-17 times if you include scrambles, how is this a good day.

The last one isn't a good example. Any decent qb can make that throw. The other 2 are things of beauty.

Yeah..but what doesn't show up in the stats is the awful blocking by the O Line and the awful play by the receivers in that game.

MF put us in position to win that game in regulation, but due to clock mismanagement by himself and the coaching staff, we didn't.

Again JPW was sacked 7 times, how many times was he pressured?? Are you actually saying he had adequate amount of time to throw the ball??

What's dumb is to say that RP should have been the starting QB the whole time.

So goddamn true. Matt Flynn has looked awesome at times, see our last drive that tied up the game last night. He doesn't have to be that good all the time, but he has to consistently play better.

how so...??? I believe if RP had been given game time from the start of the season we would perform as good if not better than with flynn at the helm.

Rp is a gifted passer and has a better arm than flynn. he also is more mobile. What it comes down to is making the right reads and decisions. If he came in as the starter than he would be able to acquire this experience would he not??
