I think he is talking to our Tigers as well

But in all seriousness Florida is trying to get this game pushed to November. They are beat up right now. Allevs needs to nut up and say not happening

The rule should be that if you can't get a game in because you didn't make a backup plan, it is a forfeit. I guarantee if Florida's options were play somewhere or forfeit, this thing would be scheduled in Athens.

I hope we do get to play them in Gainsville Saturday. They are beat up already, and i doubt practice right now for UF is doing much of anything, too much of a distraction with the storm.

Common sense should tell you to move the game to an area outside of the storm, but we are dealing with Florida here. Not exactly the beacon of reason in the world.

So if this was the case I assume UF would have to pay out the contract to South Alabama?

Alleve should say that if it's moved back, LSU demands $6+ million from FU for cancelling our contract with the rent-a-win as well as for the loss of revenue for not having a gameday in Baton Rouge.

I don't give a shite who pays them, it shouldn't be done. Part of UFs reasoning for not wanting this game in BR is because they would be on the road for 3 straight. Guess what, we cancel USA and play in GVille we're on the road 3 straight. frick the UF admin and coaches and the SEC for this shite.

Would also need to pay all the LSU fans who have tickets for that game. Even if they did that LSU is still losing money and LSU would have to play Bama,Arkansas,Florida, and A&M with the last 3 being on the road and the A&M being on a short week. That sounds really reasonable there

Where does this foolishness keep coming from? To do that both of us would take a huge bath financially and LSU would be schedule-fricked...

Sounds like the Gumps in 1988 when they wouldn't go to A&M over a Hurricane 400 miles south of College Station.

Seriously!

The eye of the hurricane is 200 miles in the Atlantic east of any landfall in Florida. Gainesville is another 75-80 miles west of the beaches and not in any low lying county!

Evacuation orders for coastal counties! Perhaps plenty rain, but we can handle (reference the August 15th timeline in Baton Rouge)!

My understanding is the only decision left to be made is the game start time. Weather Sat should be great for football. If LSU stays in Tampa, additional time is needed to bus to UF. Every time I've seen the LSU team buses roll up to the swamp, they've had police escorts. I could see that happening all the way up I-75.

I think the final decision will be made by the SEC commissioner Greg Sankey. If the SA and PC games on 9/19 are replaced with the UF game...I would say the non-conference teams would be paid off by the SEC. Not 100% sure though.
