Not anymore. They are not in that area of campus, even if they are not at their houses.

Do you belong to the Alumni Association? Do you donate to the university other than buying tickets? Were you a Greek?

a further killing blow to what was once the best game day atmosphere on a campus in the country.
and they wonder why fewer people and students are going....

Err it looks bad to use kill and Greeks in the same post.
My point is all this is all this is because of stupid, childish things that students and the Greeks have done.
Maybe it's over the top, but then maybe the administration is tired of it and also doesn't want more law suits.

F’Kings actions have now successfully killed “Tailgating by Greeks”!
The large amount of GDI's that hung in and around fraternity tailgates may start to realize that fraternity tailgating on the parade ground was by far the largest congregation of students on any given game day, whether Greek or not. The average student doesn't own the supplies for a tailgate: tent, coolers, speakers, food, beer, because they can hardly afford meals. IT'S COLLEGE. It will soon become obvious that hating on fraternities doesn't outweigh the tailgating/social benefits that they offer to ALL students on game day.

and a hazing death..
sorry but hazing and tailgating are two different things.. just like 99.99999% of hazing was generally good natured fun.. not abuse like what phi delt did... I never saw anyone forced to consume anything

Well, there are too many idiot frat boys (and girls) who have little self-control when it comes to alcohol. I guess some people cannot learn vicariously from what has been done before.
I do not like the rule, but the frats brought it on themselves.

Like I said, it's a reaction, and maybe an over reaction; however, until kids can behave more like adults those in charge are going to do what they can to mitigate the problem.
And stuff like the Neck crap doesn't help your cause either.

This started over a decade ago when all the frats would absolutely trash the parade ground, then leave it there for someone else to deal with. Couches, recliners, etc.
Don't act like assholes and you won't be treated like one. Also, what prevents y'all from tailgating places besides your house or the parade ground?

F King is a problem and until the right people realize this we are going to continue to have problems. King is a progressive liberal who wants to change LSU. He wants diversity for the sake of diversity. He’s creating Nanny State U. He’s a typical progressive, socialist democrat.
LA needs LSU badly. He’ll ruin this university and chase away the donors if he isn’t handled and quickly.

Can Greeks not just have a “non sanctioned” tailgate like everybody else does? Just curious.

I always thought it was sad that kids had to buy their friends in college.

quote:I do agree with this that then need to be held responsible for the mess that is made at an individual tailgates.
Until the frat douches learn to pick up after themselves
quote:Take a walk around campus during the cam and at 5am Sunday morning......This isnt just a frat tailgate problem.
It's a fricking disgrace what the parade ground looks like at kickoff: a sea of solo cups and other trash.

Greeks open up their wallets and most GDI’s don’t. Ask the Alumni Association.

I'm sure you never leave a single piece of trash out.

Why can't the kids just go drink on campus / in their rooms, like the other 95% of campus does on gameday?
