F’Kings actions have now successfully killed “Tailgating by Greeks”!

F’Kings directives have now successfully killed Greek pregame tailgating during football season. He mandated to Greek organizations that no functions could take place without outside security. Loftin, the same group that handles Tiger Stadiium security, has backed out of their agreement forcing all functions including pregame and postgame functions at fraternity houses to be cancelled for the season. Whether you agree or disagree with Greeks they do make up a significant portion of the student body and are an important part of recruit of new students. Without them, many will chose to go elsewhere. This may be Alexander’s desire but very, very short sighted.

I was an SAE in college. At that time it was everything. I’m almost 27 now, with wife and kid. It doesn’t matter. Quit your crying, your drunken shenanigans are meaningless. Nobody cares. Stop acting like a bunch of jack asses and this shite won’t happen. I know because I was once one of the jack asses.

As a thirty year old former Greek I proudly say who gives a flying frick. In any event, the decision isn’t some attempt to “kill Greek life” or whatever. Greeks are doing a fine job of taking care of that on their own. It’s about the security staff/contracts.
I thought I saw that NO ONE can tailgate on the parade ground... if that’s true I’ll be a bit perturbed.

Like other posters stated this affects one half of one percent of real tailgating at LSU. Binge drinking is not my idea of tailgating.

When I started at LSU (2006) I think Greeks made up like 10% of the undergrad population. I can’t imagine that’s gone anywhere but down since then but I don’t know. Grown men that worry about Greek life always make me cringe. The parties were fun for the most part and I made a few lifelong friends but I can’t imagine actually giving a shite about this as a grown arse man
