If they aren't going to fire O, they need to bring a former coach in to give him some direction.

Are you suggesting we hire a someone to show our head coach how to coach?

Maybe Alleva wants to fire him soon so he can get a good jump on the hiring process ahead of other schools

Hiring him has been disastrous. Bashers had control of trant this morning. It appears pumpers have regained control tonight.

Yes and keeping him for another year would make it a “tremendous disaster”

Guys, cut the OP some slack, this is one of the rare times where a post is so crazy, that the craziness actually brings out a valid point.

Say you fire O, do you really want Alleva to screw up another hire? I mean, the guy has a pretty horrible track record, and despite O's past failures, and his LLC name, Alleva still gave him a $12 Million buyout. Not to mention his botching of the Miles situation, and not actually searching for a coach despite having a head start on everyone else.

My point is, as bad as the situation is, things can easily get worse with Alleva still around. Replacing him should be your first priority.

Alleva won’t hire another head coach for LSU football. That ship has sailed.

Look to your left. Do you see that picture of a handsome 50 something year old man? Does he look like Jeff Duncan? No, he/I does/do not!

Imo Joe and O are now tied at the hip. Joe had a yr and his hire was O, if he fires him now he may as well type up his own resignation.

Yup, at this point Alleva's only option is to "hope and pray" that somehow O turns things around. Hope he's found Jesus, gonna need the help.

Only play is to fire alleva. How can anyone not see that ?? Let O finish the season and regardless if he wins 7-8 games (he won't) the new AD will bring is own Coaxh in. That's common knowledge so it doesn't hurt perception from around the coaching circles.

I am stunned that this situation is a surprise for you guys. I am a UGA fan but Ole Miss is right down the road from me (Memphis) and I caught his Ole Miss TV show a couple of times.

He can across to me as close to a mad man that scarely had command of the king's english. I knew this wouldn't work when you guys made the hire. Easy to see coming.

Pull the trigger.

Agree, joined is getting fired. LSU doesn't have the money to pay anyone new.

No question - it will do no good or even be counterproductive to fire O now - with Alleva still running the Athletic Department - we need a quality AD in place before the next HC search.

Period.

Any other discussion is literal madness. And maybe Alexander has to go, too, for meddling in the process to begin with.

I mean..... there is some serious delusion embedded in the LSU fanbase. Took 'em half a week to show their faces on here, but in come the O lovers.

These people are the reason why our program is in the shitter.
