Fidel has s 1.93 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP. Our bullpen has been throwing gasoline on a fire on Saturdays and Sundays in SEC play.

Would it hurt to get this guy in the game?

I was thinking the same thing. I haven’t really watched him yet. How’s his velocity?

We seem to have this problem in every sport. Our good players sit the bench.

Wd see it in football, WBB, MBB, WBB, softball and baseball.

What is going on? What are the coaches thinking? The fans deserve better.

Jay seems to like getting run ruled with the rag arms we keep putting out there

It wouldn't hurt. He's gotten warm in a few games, but two of the state games didn't really have leverage spots to deploy him. Friday against Florida, the pitching was aces and didn't need him. Saturday, we were an out away from winning that game with Ack (the most trusted bullpen arm on the mound). Sunday got well away from us. I don't think he's being hidden, but he needs some innings even if the game is in hand either way.

I was just parroting what many here on the board say on a regular basis.

I’m a big fan of Ulloa and what I’ve seen. He’s got some fire to him as well

Ulloa has a similar role as Guidry has. We just haven't been in a ton of situations like that, in SEC play, thus far and he's not the number one, or even number 2 option, at the moment for those situations.

Game 1 against State: we were trailing when Hollman came out and never took the lead

Game 2: he came in, gave up a hit to the only batter he faced

Game 3: we were losing the entire game

Game 1 against Florida: We had a 5-1 lead when Hollman came out and never faced a real threat of losing. Herring did a good job and gave us 3 innings

Game 2: This is the only time you maybe put him in in relief of Ack

Game 3: The wheels fell off for Hurd in the 5th inning and we were playing catch up the rest of the game

And for what it's worth, Guidry has only made two appearances in SEC play

I agree. I think they've been saving him for situations that unfortunately haven't manifested themselves the past 2 weekends.

Which is fine. Just means if he hasnt been used by sunday, you dont have to wait for a lead to put him in. If we are down 5-1, put him in then, and at least see if he can hold them down while we try to come back.

And what is the common denominator? Not the coaches. Not the players. The dumb shits who think the players on the bench are better? Yep!

5th inning when Hurd lost the bite on his breaking ball, and he gave up the lead was that time.

I think they said Florida had 4 RHs coming to the plate. We had Anderson up warming.
