4. Herb Tyler.... because this was the Faulk (family has known KF since his days at the Cro) era and LSU turned the football world upside down in its prime time defeat of the mighty Florida Gators... And the goal post came down...

God I miss these days...

Best years of my life!

I loved Tyler and Flynn, but I got to go with Russell. I don't think most people realize how incredibly gifted that guy was (busting out of the NFL aside.)

This throw is incredible

One of the best throws you'll ever see

Game winner versus Tennessee

State never had a chance

Had a swimming pool at his house when I was a kid with the bottom of the pool done in tile in the image of the LSU team logo at that time. Coolest pool ever.

Flynn. Not the most talented but maybe tougher, both mentally and physically, than all the great QB's who've led the Tiger offense. Certainly the most patient as well. His "big-game" presence puts him at the top of my favorites list which includes; Davey,Hodson,Jones,Tyler,Risher, Woodley,Wickersham,Hillman and Stokely.

Nelson Stokley. Before he was injured he was hell on wheels. Great speed and a good arm. Between a ruined knee and a severe shoulder injury it just killed his game. He still was good enough to have a damn good senior year and a Sugar Bowl win.
