15 to 25 million the University would not have seen before, during, or after the decision regardless of outcome

Just a tad late Alexander. What happened? Did your writers go away for the thanksgiving holidays and have just returned in time for this brilliant outdated piece.

Im sure thought there are plenty that wouldve expected u to say: "that we really didnt know what to do, so we just decided to keep him".
Thats how the AD came across last Saturday anyway. Thats what the real world heard anyway.
MAybe u really think LSU fans are stupid and now will forget all about that and believe this.

Any competent President wouldve had their AD read this line of shite last Saturday night.

Timing is important Sir. Very important, sometimes.

I do know one guy that has to chuckling just a tad at this.

Well this pretty much validates DALSU and Random hero because it basically means the AD's office was making a change and was vetoed by this retard.

I agree, his job is to be able to explain things and he is admitting he isn't up to the task.

“The public at large really doesn’t differentiate where the money comes from,” he says. “No matter how you explain it, it’s still a $15 million to $25 million decision that needs to be factored into the overall equation.”

oh wow....It would have been better for him to not say anything at all and just be speculated as the guy who fricked it all up. You have now 100% confirmed that you're the a-hole behind it all.

Easy to read that. He should go on performance but we don't want to spend the money. No new news.

Are you a dolt? What is this "we"? There is no money to spend on LSU's end...LSU didn't save themselves 15-25 million

So does that mean the athletic dept does not have to donate to the academic side now?
Does he not understand that this is a business, college football is a huge industry and he is complaining about money yet damaging the brand and possible longevity of success of said brand.

Alexander makes a good point about the public perception when lobbying for more state funding for the university after it buys out a contract for 15 million. The state legislatures that vote on the issues regarding LSU funding can be biased knowing the coach just got paid $15 mil

I said very early on when all this started that it wasn't gonna happen because it would make the University look bad being all the budget cuts last year. Say what you want about it being private donors and earmarked for athletics the rest of the country doesn't know that like we do. I'm not saying you should make a decision on a football coach by public perception but that is what happened. I just don't get why not just say that from the start of the rumors. Why wait and now you still made the University look bad.

That's a complete lack of leadership right there.

He really declared his own inability to explain things in a coherent manner so that others could understand the process? He is intellectually bankrupt or lazy.

So, the Hayride was correct.

Boys...this gives Miles carte blanche to do whatever the frick he wants to do (or not do) for the forseeable future because these budget issues are not going away anytime soon.

frick everything.
