And ran the table? What if a bunch of crazy events like 07 happened and we were in contention for the CFP?

Would your attitude towards Miles change?

I would soften a bit, but the leash would still be short

Moving forward, any positive outcome to the season will be a pleasant surprise. To say the least, expectations have been tempered.

We wouldn't crazy events to happen if we won out.

We have a long ways to go though.

We would need a couple teams to have bad losses

Win out and they are in the CFP so yes I would have a different opinion of Miles. That's not happening though and everybody knows it.

If Les changed and actually reacted to things I would be OK with it, but I would be suspicious until I saw it on a regular basis.

That is the fact though. Les Miles can turn this around this weekend by doing something different. Only problem is we have been hoping for that for a long while now.

That would be typical Miles, do just good enough where you can't justify firing him.

This guy can't even get a play in timely to the huddle and it's been that way for all 11 years. The offensive woes are nothing but a manifestation of what we've known or should've known all along:

Miles just isn't a very good coach

I could go on and on and on listing specific examples of things that were glaring examples of "something needs to change here" that were either never corrected or not corrected until they cost us a game.

If we run the table we won't need a strange number of things to happen to get into the CFP. We would have beaten Bama and won the SEC championship. That would be a shoe in.

Yes, if we run the table and win the NC, my current attitude towards miles would change.

That's bizzaro twilight zone shite right there...the question is inconceivable and doesn't make sense.

What if my 15 year old truck was magically changed to a brand new 4x4 F150?

Would your attitude towards your 15 year old truck change?

Not worth discussing. This extreme hypothetical would have to involve something supernatural happening. More like extreme fantasy.

Les is who he is and this team can't undo years worth of bad coaching. They will make play here and play there simply because they are great athletes, but the change we are looking for ain't happening until the man at the top is replaced.

If they made the necessary changes, how come we didn't see them against Wisconsin?

It would just continue the frustration of being an LSU fan under Miles. Teams winning but never playing close to their potential. He puts us in the conflicted position to pull for our team while because it's in our DNA...but you really want this bozo gone, so whatever it takes for that.

On pure talent and defense alone, this team could win a lot of games. But I don't think there's anyway we have an 07. Can see CLM winning in a playoff format.

I've defended Miles a lot in the past but he's letting his loyalty to Cameron get him fired. At this point the only thing that would make me believe he's turned that corner would be to fire Cam mid season and promote Craig to OC. If that happened, and the offense started putting Harris in a position to succeed instead of forcing him into a system he just can't execute, I would be fine with Miles staying. Obviously winning out would be great but I just don't know how to wrap my head around that right now.

Too little too late in many people's opinion. No doubt agents have already been contacted.

Why is that an "extreme" hypothetical?

Because most, including me, would bet the farm against it
