How is that even possible. Even the shite teams and some FCS schools have way better QB play than us.

I honestly believe that this kid is SO bad and talentless that he wouldn't be playing (much less starting) for any other team in America. It shocks me that this kid started in high school.

Come on, man. AJ is ranked 125/125 in the nation. Didn't you know that?

How is it possible? Because Les's gameplan is so 1-dimensional that's it's truly impossible for any QB to succeed in this offense. 70/30 run to pass ratio is insane. LSU has to change this offense and it simply starts with Les. Starting tomorrow. Hope Les doesn't get any sleep and thinks of how those 5 star recruits are contributing to this offense... Or are they? It's unbelievable that someone listed in the same category at "Adrian Peterson" gets 5 carries aganist a decent arkansas defense. Decent at best. Wow. 5 carries. It's sad.

As horrible as Jordan Jefferson played at LSU, he was big and strong and you could see how he could possibly do well against high school competition.

I'm sure Jennings is a nice kid, but when it comes to football, the kid just SUCKS. I don't even think he could do well on the LSU intramural fields. He's that awful. He stares down one receiver and if that receiver isn't WIDE F*CKING OPEN, he panics.

How does anyone run when they're putting 9-10 defenders in the box, and every linebacker and safety are coming towards the line of scrimmage on the snap because they have absolutely ZERO respect for your quarterback's passing ability?

The one thing Harris did do when he came into the game early in the season was make the linebackers and safeties back up and respect the pass. IF for that reason ONLY, Harris should be in the game.

It doesn't take much talent to turn around and hand the ball off. And, that is all Jennings has shown he can do.

He does seem to think he is doing well and says coach credits him with good decisions. Watch his interview after the game. If it hadn't been for the cold, a shuffled OL and a missed field goal we would have been OK.

It's the system. There is a reason he stares down one wr. Many times there is only one wr for him to throw to. A large portion of LSU's passing game is to send one wr on a go route, and throw it to him even in triple coverage. Even with Jarrett Lee and Jefferson, they used to do the same thing.

Jennings to me is a clone of Nick Marshall, and Auburn seems to have figured out how to use him. If Jefferson played for a team like Oregon, and Lee played for more of a spread passing team, both would have looked much better.

You want to see what a Les Miles offense does to a qb, watch the Florida game from last year. That was the game where it was made very clear they were going back to Miles' philosophy for that game, and Mett's numbers looked very similar to what we are used to from Miles qb's.

Agreed. This is not a new problem. People can blame aj all they want, but we've had this problem for several years (minus 2013).

These are the stats that keep Harris on the bench. Aka the Auburn game.

LSU C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT
Anthony Jennings 5/10 84 8.4 0 0
Brandon Harris 3/14 58 4.1 0 0

These are the stats for the games played overall.

NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP%
Anthony Jennings 92 192 1353 47.9
YDS/A TD INT RAT
7.05 9 6 116.3

NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP%
Brandon Harris 25 45 452 55.6
YDS/A TD INT RAT
10.04 6 2 175.0

We have a quarterback that rides the bench while the team suffers.

AJ is 98/127 total QBR.

Those 29 schools QB's behind him I would guess don't have near the run support AJ has.

If this continues I could honestly see the scenario where AJ is to Miles what Driskel will soon be to Muschamp.

If the first receiver is covered, tuck and run or fall down will not get you far in the SEC.

In Jennings defense it is tough to run an offense when your first play on every series except one is I formation dive behind one guard or the other.

If a play is called and the d shows it has that covered are you not supposed to audible? Is our offense and qb so simpled down that we just run the play no matter what the d does on the other side? That is incredibly awful if true.

A lot of big programs recruited him though. So I don't buy that he's talentless.

What the frick is he supposed to audible to when you have virtually 7 Olinemen (5 OL and 2 blocking TEs as de facto OL) and one WR in the formation?

And this is why we can't recruit a top notch quarterback. They go elsewhere, we get the left overs.

Alt26, couldn't agree more.
The venom shouldn't be on Jennings as much as it is. This is all COACHING.
It starts and ends with Miles. But, he's not capable of changing as he's proven.
As long as we can line up and overpower a team we are fine. When that doesn't happen, there is no backup plan.
If this is Cam's offense, then he sucks.

The backup is always the savior. But, look at Harris against Aub. Looked a lot like what we saw last night?
I truly believe this system sets up a QB for failure short of being able to run the ball. We can't run, we can't win.

It is a sad day when ULL qb has more passing yards in his last single game than LSU qb has in his last two games
