And you can't acknowledge that the defense was infinitely better (11 PPG) when Dorsey was able to put weight on both legs than when he wasn't (22 PPG).

The 2011 and 2012 defense was essentially the same from a personnel standpoint. Why did the 2011 defense allow only 11 PPG, but the 2012 defense allowed 17 PPG? Could it have been because Mathieu was sitting in the stands for the 2012 season?

PPG in each season??? Can you do that??? It will show that 2007 wasn't as good of a scoring D as the other two... U

I JUST POSTED THEIR POINTS PER PLAY. I never said 2007 was as good. I said if Dorsey ( the most decorated dlineman in lsu history) had stayed healthy you would talk about 2007 with the other great lsu defenses.

I don't argue with excuses. Only facts. That's why I never get handled in these discussions.

Of course you won't look at it cause YOU think you are the only one that knows football.

Na I respect the opinions of plenty of posters on here. One of them is in this thread.
WHAT'S UP CHILG?

Again Jlee played great in the 1st 8 games of 2011, BUT YOU think its irrelevant cause these teams they beat finished unranked.. Just like the teams that LSU 2007 beat in the 1st 6 games...

Holy shite. I used the ranking the way you used them for JLEE because you threw a tantrum when I said no 2011 October teams were ranked.i only used those ranking because I didn't want to argue with you over that.

THAT'S NOT WHAT THE ARGUMENT WAS. good god your reading comprehension sucks.
My original post....

Had Dorsey not gotten hurt this defense would be considered with the other 2. If remember correctly during the first 5 games no starting qb was able to finish the game.

Ummm lets see, they gave up 43 points to UK...43!! WITH Dorsey in the lineup.... However Dorsey was a great great player... Losing him was a factor....

Personal doesn't mean everything.. Attitude and LUCK all come into play... you STAT guys never look at these things... Intangibles play a MAJOR factor into every game a team plays....

In triple overtime you idiot... 27 in regulation.

And Dorsey and Mathieu didn't bring attitude to the defense... GTFO. I got a hernia from the Florida game in 2007 because Dorsey told me to yell louder.

can you define a sincere safety

guessing it has something to do with the Les-ism about "sincere contact" with regards to hitting.

That's one game where the defense only gave up 320 yards in regulation.
In 2011 West Virginia had 4 turnovers and they still had 533 yards and 21 points.
I'm not saying 2007 defense wasn't a notch below 2003& 2011.
I'm only saying that had Dorsey not been injured, our 2007 defense would've been close to those defenses.

Actually no I didn't because I gave a subjective opinion. I said IF
Dorsey had stayed healthy our 2007 would be closer to our 2003&2011 defenses. You have no idea if that true or not just like I dont, but I never said it was a fact. So no you didn't handle shite. There is no way to prove my statement so there is no way you can HANDLE anything.

No way they are in the same ballpark as 2003 and 2011............

lol

You have absolutely no idea yet how good this defense will be. They started poorly last year yet by the year's end they were #1 in total D in the SEC. They have potentially anywhere from 4-8 future first round draft picks on that defense...and that could be conservative....probably 5-10 players on that defense that will be drafted in the first or second round. Will they be as good as 2011????? Probably not....but I can't tell you that right now....they are extremely talented and no one knew that D in 2011 was going to be as good as it was. This D is going to be nasty. Quit trying to label them...they will gain their own identity soon.

you can't debate with this moron. 90% of his posts are trying to downplay anything positive for LSU. I truly believe Admins allows him on here to play that role. Otherwise, he would be long gone on here. He's a tool, and he is wrong approximately 80% of the time, if not more....yet he is teaching us something....LOL

Of course you would use something that can't be measured in your argument.

Yes, we stat(FACTS)guys do see intangibles it's just we know it's not measurable and unless you're on the team and in the team meetings you have no idea what a player's attitude, character,or leadership is.
You act like losing the most decorated dlineman in lsu history isn't a big deal.

You could make huge amounts of money of you just pick the opposite of Peej's predictions on the outcome of a game. That's common knowledge around here, but I'm sure you already knew that. It's amazing how often he wrong. Peej is the kiss of death when it comes to picking winners.

It was incredible how often he was wrong this past year. He was adamant that Ole Miss was going to destroy us......as well as other teams...he was literally wrong about 8 out of 9 losable games last year......unfortunately the moron picked us to beat Alabama and I knew at that point we were in trouble.
