Why does LSU have so many QBs that transfer? Didn't LSU have a lot more QBs?

Brandon Harris has that ability, although he is young and perhaps does not have it quite harnessed. But every snap he misses out on is another wasted moment for LSU going forward.

This x infinity. Perhaps Miles thought we could have a good season with Jennings but that notion should have been dismissed long ago. We would be better serve to have Harris learning as he struggles then sitting on the bench.

If harris wins the starting QB for next year we'll once again enter a season with an inexperienced QB.

That's why Leslie needs to GTFO

Really? You don't think the LSU football team should have a head coach?

I suggest that if anyone who thinks Miles should just "GTFO" doesn't have an ironclad replacement for Miles, they should just STFU.

I lived through the Archer/Hallman/Dinardo years, and I don't want idiots ruining LSU football for a whole decade again.

I look at Tennessee, Florida, Michigan and other big time programs struggling for consistency, and I'm just afraid the idiot LSU fans will throw us down that hole again.

Yeah, fire the coach - BUT THEN WHAT? If you can't answer that question, then sit down and shut up.

We have been in decline since losing the NC game against Bama. I don't think Les has the will to bring this team to the same height at that time. He has lost the WANT!

Good Lord people. Harris is not the answer to what is hurting this football team right now.

you can say Jennings isnt' the main problem, the play calling is, but did you ever consider the play calling is a reflection of what the QB is capable of?

Put Harris in, trust he can complete a pass, and use your athletes. Can neither of these guys throw a bubble screen? Jennings sure as hell can't throw a RB screen, nor can we properly block for one.
Our offense is so predictable that the defense becomes predictable, yet if it's 3rd and 5, we are running a quick slant and the CB knows it. We can't even use our own predictability to our advantage.

We have 3 completions over 25 yards dating back to the Florida game, 5 games.
Jennings has as many turnovers as touchdowns in that time span, has 0 rushing td's on the year, has a 45% completion percentage.
Best stat of the night:
We have a 82% rate of scoring in the redzone, with 24 TDs and 8 FG's, 7 no points. Harris has 13 redzone td's while he was in what, maybe 3 full games of playing time.

roughly 70% of the time we enter the redzone with Jennings, we come away with 3 points or less. And as of lately, we only entered the redzone 9 times in the last 3 games, 2 tds, 3 FGs, 4 missed FGs, not including the 0 yards in OT against Bama b/c we couldn't muster 5 yards to get into the redzone.

Please stop using this excuse. LSU did not have the facilities, national prominence or the current talent in the 1990's. The infrastructure has been put into place to keep LSU in the recruiting arms race. That wasn't there in the 90's. Stop accepting mediocrity (14-9 SEC Record in the last three years) because we were bad 20 years ago.

At least we scored 7 against Auburn who was a national title contender... the 17 arkansas scored might as well have been 42.

Both Rivers/Rettig were told the O was going in a different direction than we saw in '13.

It's not play calling...it's the design of the offenense. I you can only run the plays that are in your playbook

Miles explained the limited amount of plays that LF had for him in this game plan were not working. So he sat him.

Strange not using that same rational at the QB position.

How does he or anyone else know that Harris has the ability to lift the team up?

Ummmmm. Because you couldn't slide a deck of cards under where Jennings is getting us.

*****But don't give this Harris/Jennings debate another second until you affirm that Miles did or didn't get this team ready; he's made some HORRIBLE in game decisions; he's made some bad pre-game decisions.....need examples?

Harris/Jennings is just a sidenote of a 4+ Million dollar coaching job gone really, really bad. It's just the tip of the iceberg for a coach that has had almost TEN YEARS to avoid situations like this.

Us proactive thinkers have had this fear all along.

Jennings led us to three straight SEC victories and within a minute of beating Alabama.

Against 1 team with a winning record. Kentucky and UF are bad to mediocre teams and the LSU defense won the Ole Miss game. People act like LSU did something special by beating middle of the pack East teams.

Jennings had little to do with LSU winning any of those games and was lucky UF had two huge brain farts to bail LSU out with the blown coverage on 4th down and the dropped TD in the endzone.

Your definition of "led" is quite interesting.

Being in a leadership position doesn't mean you actually did any leading if the other sides of the ball carried you.

It might be a little generous to say that Jennings led us to those victories. He happened to be the QB at the time but if anyone led us, it was the defense. And if we had beaten Bama that would have been because the defense forced a turnover late in the game and then shut them down after that. The offense couldn't even score a TD when they got the ball on the 6 yard line.

I don't believe Harris would have done better on Saturday with the game plan our coaches drew up...and missing two starters on o-line could have been disastrous for a QB whose last outing was a disaster.

Probably a valid point. I think Les is still carrying the scar tissue from 2008 and has vowed to never let that happen again. Maybe he thinks he threw JLee into the fire too soon and it ruined him and now he's afraid of doing the same thing with Harris. I don't know. But at some point you have to give the guy a chance even if it's under adverse circumstance. I think what a lot of fans are frustrated about is that there was no Plan B. There never is a Plan B. Either Plan A works or we lose.

Please stop replying to me unless you have 100% positive information on a better hire than Miles.

You children out there who think you know everything are the first ones to evaporate when you get your way in firing the coach and LSU football goes south.

Les Miles is paid to win football games. Les Miles has a better win% than any other LSU coach. If you can tell me the name of the coach that would definitely come to LSU and win MORE football games than Miles, then tell me. Otherwise sit down and shut up - and quit crying.
