You're pretty much wrong on this point.

o think Mett was a heisman type qb.

No one in this thread has claimed Mett to be worthy of a Heisman. Can't think of anyone at the time that thought Mett was worthy of a Heisman, either.

I think you should rethink posting this thread entirely.

Stats are for losers. He lost both games and was carried off the field after being sacked four times in a row.

My thoughts exactly. Mett and Etling didn't win shite. They both folded against Bama. They had some moments, but in the end they're both average quarterback

I don't know why people on here act like Etling can't run the ball. He is a pretty strong and fairly fast runner when he takes off with the ball.

Metteberger, a classic pro style QB led one of our most prolific offenses. A kid like Myles Brennan gives us a Mett with mobility. Why a total about face from what we only began to scratch the surface on in terms of success. Minor tweaks and a decent pro style QB produced records this season. Why not build on what was started post Miles/Cam?

So a kid currently in high is as good as Meat and we'll set records with him?

Sweet!!!!

What LSU needs is a GOOD QB that fits the style of offense. That's it.

No, we need an offense that fits the style of the QB. Not the other way around. A good QB is a good QB, no matter if he's a runner or not.

Mett wasn't nearly as good as what most of you think he is. He was still middle of the pack in sec stats in 13. Tells you how bad our qbs have been to think Mett was a heisman type qb.

I'd take Mett any day of the week!!! 3,000 yards passing.....middle of the pack? Do a little more research.

The majority of the whole fricking team folded against Bama. In your thought process, is Fournette average? By the way Mett was above average....collegiately.

I would say he's a better-than-most-mobile pocket passer.
In the sense that he's not going to play Manziel/Mariota/Newton style football. He's more likely to stand in and throw for 350 than run at first chance.

No, what he actually reminded us of the difference a S E R V I C E A B L E QB can make. It's that we finally had a serviceable QB for the first time in quite a few years regardless of whether you want to classify him as a PRO STYLE QB OR A DUAL THREAT QB!

How you want to classify him doesn't mean jack shite. We just need to sign and develop GOOD QB'S not MEDIOCRE QB'S

I think Brennan and Narcissie both may fit that description.
