Sounds like this is a guy that blew off his Louisiana roots and snubbed his own instate team, because he only cared about his own ego. Seems like a quintessential piece of tigerbait

That’s exactly what happens.. O was the 1 who pushed to sign him and when Lea was fires O tried to recruit him but it was to late

Also on Ettienes saltiness on being slowplayed, it's hypocritical. Firstly, he was committed to TAM for quite a bit and changed his mind. So he wasn't sure about things either so why hold LSU more accountable that himself? Secondly, Clemson offered after we did. So it's only us he held responsible for slow playing him. Seems like someone who felt entitled to get an LSU offer instead of someone interested in earning it. Therefore he and his actions speak no better for his recruitment than us slowplaying him.

lsufanva spot on. End of thread right here. I’d like to see him get asked about this.

So Ed really didn't want Akers and just had a 3 month memory lapse about an offer to a RB he was so high on?

What was the question he was asked? Personally, I think he was trying to deflect, and don't think he even wanted to make an issue about it. Don't agree with the critical.

And, Etienne committed to Clemson about a month after Matt Canada was named OC.

Well, it worked out just fine for him. Most people have been overlooked at some point in some way. I’m sure my wife’s first choice would have been Brad Pitt, but sometimes you just get what you get, and don’t pitch a fit.""""""

Doesn’t matter, he won’t break 100 against LSU.

Ed was the recruiting coordinator and then the head coach that cycle.

Recruiting coordinators don’t offer scholarships, head coaches do.

Orgeron was offered the job in late November and offered just a few weeks later. The recruiting cycle began a year before that point and no offer was made by his predecessor.

Les Miles didn’t want him

The more that time has passed on this, and given Justin Vincent's comments, I've started to wonder more and more if it wasn't Miles who was the roadblock.

Duh, ya think? Miles had Etienne at junior day and elite camp and never offered.
