Well, if we are going to play the salty card for effort, how does CEH feel? He was offered after the Etienne thing fell through, CEH is salty and has something to prove!

I think it’s the media making it more of a big deal than what it is. Kind of like the so-called death threats their family has received.

I agree. Imagine playing Ohio State and the media whores creating/ spinning shite stories about Burrow.

the thing is he wasnt Clemsons first choice either...i believe they came in later than we did on recruiting him...

Obviously that's different because they weren't his home state school.

LSU made a mistake in prioritizing Akers over Etienne, or at least in making it clear to Etienne that's what was going on. If Etienne beats us Monday night, we will all get to feel the effect of that mistake.

That said, Etienne should have had tougher skin and should have come here anyway.

Screw him, Clemson didn’t offer him until 3 weeks before NSD. Ed O offered shortly after Miles was fired. We’ll never know if Akers comes here if Miles stayed but he was rated higher. It’s business not personal, the in stat kids aren’t obligated to come to LSU and LSU isn’t obligated to offer all of them when they are sophomores. He’s done well at Clemson and LSU is just fine without him. Time to stop this bitch fest like we missed on a program altering player.

The funny part of all this is Clemson offered him after we did, and he chose to go there, yet is upset we didn't offer him sooner

Yep. He was a last minute backburner plan for Dabo......meanwhile we were in a coaching transition with the old coaches big board still up

In case you didn't read the post or click the link - that was Justin Vincent and he is not a member of the media.

If you don't believe him, that's on you.

The rant denies that Les fricked up his recruitment

Runs for 3k as a Jr and still couldn’t get an offer lol

It wasn't a mistake.

Coaches have to make decisions on players, and Akers has turned out to be pretty damn good in his own right. Where's the mistake?

I can’t speak for “the rant” but Miles preferring another (higher rated) player is not “fricking” it up it’s called liking another player more, it’s business not personal. and if he kid held it against LSU that Miles didn’t offer when he was in 6th grade even after Miles was fired and choose to go with a school out of state that offered 2 months after LSU a mere 3 weeks before NSD AFTER they missed on someone else, well Bye Felicia.

Nobody is a bigger underdog than Coach O and Burrow. They can save the sob stories.

It was never Coach O.. Les Miles didn’t want him and after Miles got fired O tried to recruit him hard but it was too late.. Les Miles didn’t like his running style and it didn’t fit what Miles was trying to do..
