It seems like ESPN360 isn't working when I use a proxy site like Hide My arse. Either ESPN has a system set in place to prevent proxies or the random proxies don't have access to ESPN360 (this would make sense since Cox customers just got access last month, I doubt some guy in India will get access).

I am guessing if you don't have an individual membership to espn360 but get access to it simply because you are a cox subscriber then a proxy won't work. When you go to espn360.com your normal cox ip address tells them to allow you to view the shows... but if you are hiding you ip via a proxy then you are not going to be allowed to watch without signing in.

Is this right?

Yeah, I think that's right. The more detailed link will probably work, but I won't try that out until gametime.

Got Lucky

I live in Georgia and this evening I got an
e-mail from my ISP (Windstream) stating that they just added ESPN360.com. (No additional charge)

it prob won't work, as 360 needs to get approval from your ISP to give you access. Not all ISPs like to use that massive sink of bandwith.

So yeah, it doesn't know you are in LA, but blocks you because your ISP probably doesn't support it.

yeah but if you use a proxy it doesn't look like you are coming from Cox anymore.

That is the whole point of a proxy.
