It will work.
It is a little more difficult than described above...

Get ESPN360 during a blackout

Good luck.

Just tried to go to proxy site. Tried a number of them. Each time, I got a warning that "this is a dangerous web site." Said to leave it immediately. What now, please?

I tried the instructions and was able to connect to a proxy server - but when I went to the ESPN360 "watch now" I kept getting the message about ESPN360 being free to campuses and certain ISP's - and asking to enter the name of an ISP. I tried several, but was never able to get past that point. Any suggestions?

Hmmm....
Did you try it with a different port?
3128, 3127, or 3124?

Also...
I was only able to get this working using IE.
I was never able to get it to work with firefox/safari/chrome. I hope this helps.

ESPN is GAY. how do you sign a contract to show every SEC game and then black out the game in the state of the 2 colleges playing. Cox is also GAY for ripping people off with Tigervision. Cox has a monopoly in the state and I can't wait for the day when we have other cable alternatives. I am sure they had their hand in ESPN not showing the game in LA.

I didn't know the game would be available on ESPN360

for future reference.
Watch any ESPN network long enough for them to scroll through the schedule of top 25 team's games for the week at the bottom of the screen. They always tell if a game is availible on ESPN360.

LSU is who controls this situation. Not Cox or ESPN. LSU is who will make money by your having to order it thru Tigervision.

Does LSU suck?

In that case, referring to this specific situatuion, yes it does. I will never defend them charging more money(they make plenty enough). Also, LSU has Cox on their basketball court twice. I think this advertising should be limited to "outside the lines" no matter how much money someone donates

I don't know what COX charges, but, it's $35 with EATEL. And EATEL is infinitely better that COX.

I'll give that a shot this evening if I get a chance. I didn't think it would a difference. Is there a way to see the choice of ports for each proxy site - or do I just try different ones until one works?

Also, I noticed when I queried the IP address after connecting through the proxy server, the ip address that came up on "ipchicken" always seemed to be different than the address I entered via the internet options. Is this normal - or part of the problem?

Thanks

No...unfortunately it is just luck of the draw...

This is normal. This is just letting you know that it created a new external IP address for your computer on whichever network you have chosen. This is what tricks ESPN360 into thinking your computer is on a network in...say...New York.
