It's his choice, I wish him well. I do think he is making a mistake. No reason to come out. WIll be no higher than a mide 3rd rounder. Next year, could be a top 15 pick. And yes it is a lot more money and better chance of success. I don't get his reason.

Or next year he could blow out all his ligaments in both knees and be nothing at all.

Better than Dwayne Bowe?

That's a tall order.

I do think RR will be better than DB. Man RR hasnt even scratched the surface of his potential. The QB play his entire time at LSU has been less than good. I think with JL throwing this year you got to see RR on a few deep routs. DB is top notch I just think RR has been handcuffed his whole college career.

Yes, but there is insurance for that.

Curious, have always wondered what kind ball park cost is insurance like that for a college player and who boots it.

Yes it is his choice but I am afraid he is making a poor one. No way he is 1st or 2nd round IMO. Best of luck RR..

sad to say but is true. i don't know if Les will throw the ball next season either. I can't see him changing his skin, he is a ground pounder and if you are a talented receiver you got to get the reps to show off your ball skills, just hasn't happened cause no confidence in qb ability to throw the ball. All this boils down to the same thread over and over, why not put the passing qb in met or jl and at least vary the play calling when you are totally stuck on offense. It is of course a rhetorical question with no plausible answer.

Name one LSU WR since 2007 that has benefited by coming back for their SR year?

Doucet? No
Toliver? No
LaFell? No
Byrd? No

Hell, our only TE to get drafted under Miles was a blocking TE.

History states that Randle is better of going this year and making his money and getting to his 2nd contract faster than coming back for another year under a Miles coached offense.

Under Les Miles at LSU we had 2 Wrs taken in the first round in one draft.

The cash value of the policy would almost certainly be less than his rookie contract + signing bonus. He's worth more right now on the field to a NFL team than he is on paper to an insurance adjuster. Not to mention it's pretty darn expensive insurance that he or his parents would be paying out of pocket and coverage isn't easy to get.

Only Doucet had NFL talent. What those other players got was a college degree.

2005, 2006, 2007, and most of 2008 disagree with your opinion.

Seeing as how LaFell is starting for a NFL team, I'd say he has NFL talent. Byrd we will probably never know about but I think he had the talent, also. Toliver almost certainly has the talent but apparently not the attitude. Doucet might actually have been the least physically gifted of any of them, but he's smart, hardworking and tough as hell.

But honestly I'd be utterly floored if any of those guys got (or ever will get) a college degree.

Happened under Jimbo Fisher's watch. Since he left, we've had two 5* WRs go 3rd round and undrafted with both coming back for their senior years.

We had another go 7th round due to injury (was projected 4th round and another go 3rd that was projected likely to go there after his junior year.

Miles had absolutely nothing to do with Bowe and Davis going in the first.

Jimbo, JR, and Monken. To claim Miles had anything to do with them getting drafted that high is a farce.
