Finally someone with common sense. LSU/Alabama rematch is not good for college football, not good for BCS, not good for fans outside of Tuscaloosa, and not good for LSU. The only one who benefits is Alabama.

He had good points except for the Stanford argument. They didn't win the Pac 12 either. Sorry.

f this is the case, why then is Bama number 2 in all 3 facets of the BCS rankings this week.
Because it's the only contender (besides LSU) that has finished the season without two loses.

This doesn't factor in for me. As long as LSU gets out if Uga without major injury, they will have over 4 weeks to rest.

Perhaps the ONLY reason Alabama is ahead of Okie State in the computers this week is because Alabama played 12 games! Okie State has played 11.

Idoubt he made them up. Changed the names to protect the innocent, maybe, but those quotes are Gumpalicious.

Has this guy been fired yet for not backing the guys on the BCS show?

And what about the black dude from last week's BCS show who said there shouldn't be a rematch? Is he still employed with ESPN???

What a pleasant but unexpected surprise.
Hard to believe ESPN is giving a voice to the opponents of a rematch. They seemed ready to steamroll any notion other than Game of the Century II being a done deal.
Still don't trust 'em, though.
But what I do trust is that LSU is going to win the title, regardless of the opponent.

Houston has a 5th year QB who has thrown 150 TDs. Houston is Undefeated.
Which will mean they will end the season without 2 losses.
They also beaten North Texas by a touchdown more than Alabama did and
have destroyed just about every team they have played.

Anyone think they deserve a shot? They are in first place in passing offense.

I agree with his opinion about Bama not deserving a slot in the NC, not much else though... certainly not his suggestion of Stanford or Boise, my goodness, either of those teams would not be able to stay on the field with LSU..

Because OSU had a bye after their loss. They will beat OU and jump Bama at their first chance to play.
