i disagree, if lsu beats bama again, that would be huge for our recruiting.

Our recruiting cannot get much bigger. I don't see how beating bama in the NC helps recruiting any more than beating anyone else in the NC. The recruiting world does not revolve around who beats who in these matchups.

This pisses me off the most about them not playing for no cause just waiting for the big announcement..

I think its hilarious.

Entitlement mentality on full display.

If the BCS game includes Bama, all hell will break loose in non-SEC conferences. IMHO that might signify a beginning to the end of the current BCS. As such, the powers that be in the BCS would be wise to not put Bama in.

My personal opinion is that Bama is the 2nd best team in the country. I know all the arguments for and against that conclusion. My bottom line is that all a team can do is beat the team before it on the field. It can't control how that other team performs the rest of the way. So, losses are more weighted than wins. Bama's only loss was to the BEST team in college football. That doesn't mean that another team doesn't deserve a shot. LSU will win no matter who the opponent.!!!

Why does this matter as far as the NC game?

Dumb gumps.

He made a good case for OK State but really fell on his face with Stanford. "ONLY" lost to Oregon? A team LSU crushed in the second half? Please!! Virginia Tech who has played no one? Come on! Boise State because they beat Georgia would have to be considered. Especially if Georgia gives us a good game on Saturday.

Who would I like to see us play?? Oklahoma State. I agree with his basic premise. Alabama had it's shot. A second game proves nothing no matter who wins because it would still be either a split or we beat a team we already beat.

Plus it is totally not right that playing in the SEC championship game is a disadvantage. What if one of our key players gets hurt Saturday(god forbid) like Rubin Randle or Mathieu and can't play in the NC game?

Alabama gets to sit home, nurse their injuries and have an extra week to put in new trick plays for us. Let them bury their heads in good old Tuscaloosa dirt while we play someone else.

OK, somewhat off topic, but it' still relevent given the anti-SEC rant of this article. In the coffee room/LSU football roundtable this morning, one of the guys was bashing Notre Dame. Another said,

"Notre Dame hasn't been relevent since Lou Holtz could speak English."

Too funny. I had to share.

I do not think this matters when the nc game is not played until Jan 9th. I would believe LSU will be more than rested and ready for the gumps if they choose to show up.

You and I would never understand. This is the entitlement mentality on display. It makes no sense to us, but perfect sense to those who don't earn it, but have it handed to them.

Hope and pray LSU's success never puts us on this level.

So you never heard of an injury that takes longer than five weeks to heal completely? Wouldn't you rather have everyone 100% than say a half dozen at 90%? Or worse yet a knee injury that requires surgery? What an intellect, I bow down to you.
