You've got to be kidding me. I am willing to agree with the first part of this, but that last half is just absurd.

did you watch lee and jefferson? they looked like deers in headlights

we couldn't pass the ball to save our lives. we had 91 yards passing. our QBs were 9/17 (5.4 ypa). and we threw 2 picks

ugly, ugly, ugly, no matter how you slice it

It wasn't pretty, sorry. Don't discredit the game or win.

You want an overtime game where the winner scores in the 50s? Watch a replay of Stanford-USC. Tickled by quarterbacks who don’t have to run for their lives or throw into tight spaces? Check out Russell Wilson and Tajh Boyd.

the game was on CBS

And yet ESPN still did everything they could to hype it up. Even send College Gameday out there.

Look, was it the prettiest, most perfect game ever played? No. However to say that it wasn't chalk full of drama/intensity more then any game in years is ridiculous. Just because it wasn't a shoot out like the game a few hundred miles north doesn't mean it didn't live up to it's billing.

that was the most intense football game, start to finish, that i have ever witnessed. EVERY PLAY had implications and both defenses were awesome. bama had some little things go against them but so did lsu. the td pass to RR could have been caught but he led him an inch or two too much. ford stepping out of bounds (barely) when he didn't have to, etc, etc. i quit drinking during games a couple of years ago but last night i didn't make the first quarter before i opened the irish. i simply had to to control my addreneline. i wanted to hit somebody.

the win is the win

but our offense sucked last night, and a lot of that came down to BOTH QBs

had our QBs played even mediocre, then we would have put up 17-20 points without question

and bama would have opened it up, and scored more also

I thought jefferson played extremely well. He made the option look good last night. He scrambled when he needed to and Alabamas big linebackers did not have an answer for him.
We have the luxury of two seasoned qb's who bring winning to the table. Both Bama and LSU have been scoring 40 points per game. These were great teams going at it in a big time tense atmosphere . Incredible hits were being applied. Richardson and Ware were going against brick walls. Thank goodness for the smarts of our coaching staff and JJ's ability to move and drive the ball.

I enjoyed the hell out of the game myself. But then again, I never really got into the Arena football model. To each his own, I guess.

Hell, that was some piss poor quarterbacking on both sides. We need to play better there the rest of the season.

Translation.....ESPN's darlings, the Tide, didn't win. And since they didn't win, the low scoring game was automatically "crummy."

However, had Bama, won, what would we be hearing today???......All about the "great" Tide defense.

To hell with ESPN!!!

Exactly, neither team opened it up. I'm not talking about the performance, nor am I saying the game was pretty. This topic is about what you quoted out of the article. The sentiment "Oh it wasn't even any good, that Ok St Kansas St game BOY THATS A REAL GAME THERE!"

It's ridiculous.

I think the key was that we realized it quicker than Bama did.

seemed to me that outside of the first couple lines, that article was more than fair.

Not everyone is going to go gaga over a game like that and that's fine. Everyone's obsession (especially college football) that all media should bow down to their team is absurd.

I watched every personality on ESPN last night fall over backwards crediting our defense saying how tough a game it was (100% bang on true).

If the crux of an article like this's point is that there shouldn't be a rematch, then they're absolutely right.

Agree completely. It wasn't bad offense, it was 2 incredible defenses that stopped the offenses.

Incredibly boring game. If you were not a fan of either team I can see it really sucking hard
I went to a party last night and there were times when I was the only person watching the game. There were grads from UT, TAMU, CU, tOSU, Purdue, etc... I was the only Tiger and the only one there who appreciated the drama of the defensive battle.

last night was arse clinchingly unbelievable for sure, but was it more intense to you than UF 07?

For some reason I think that game will always stand out as the one that put me closer to a heart attack than any other one.
