To be clear, this doesn't mention anything about the football game. It sounds to me more about whether they're cancelling classes or not.

A neutral city doesn't seem feasible due to ticketing and security. They aren't prepared to issue tickets at a last minute notice or provide people to staff the stadium. At least LSU has the logistical procedure down and could have been preparing all week for this.

As has been stated 2k times since yesterday. There is already a game there
DOUBLE HEADER AT DA DOME!!!!
Seriously though, the issue of auxiliary staff and both teams having to travel will present an issue for moving it to this mystery 3rd party venue. As unfair as it is (and as much as you LSU super fans would be losing your fricking minds if this was reversed) playing at LSU makes the most sense for all involved if G'ville isn't safe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't they just reschedule the game during our bye week?
Posted on 10/5/16 at 9:29 am to lwlsu96
So florida would play two games in one day?

Florida has a game that week.

They could, but are we just going to play ourselves?

Bye weeks do not match.
They do both have a non-conference game in common (could cancel those and play "this" game then).
I would imagine it simply moves to BR

So they'd get a double header of Georgia then LSU. I'll take it.

They could if Florida had the same bye week, which they don't.

I could see them rescheduling it to Sunday/Monday night

Stop stalling and move the game to New Orleans

I mean could a random stadium, say the Superdome (Saints have a bye week anyway), get everything ready in time?
The superdome could most def. get ready in time.
The most logical choice is still LSU. Could put UF team and staff in a hotel in Nola if needed and drive in for the game.

HOW CAN NON TICKET HOLDERS GET TICKETS?

Maybe but I definitely think UF would prefer the Superdome over TS. Superdome crowd will be somewhat less hostile than TS crowd. It would also force LSU to still treat as a road game.
