if they declare for the draft, it will be interesting to see who goes first. I think Ego goes before Freak just based on his production on the field. Don't think either is going to standout at the combine and should grade out about the same. Would be huge if either decided to stay though. We need them, although Locoture will probably be our best DT next year even if they do stay. He's looked pretty good and should make a jump in improvement being he was a true freshman this year.

No chance Ego goes before Freak if they both enter the draft this year.

should be 100% but who knows

It's less than 50% for each.

I'd say 25% chance each.

What?? Very good chance ego goes first! I think they are both 3rd or mayb even 4th round guys! I believe another year will make a huge difference.... Confidence, the linebackers will be better and the secondary! Plus the incoming class, never know who will step up, but we need both these guys and one of the receivers to stay. I'm pretty sure Odell is gone but JL wants to graduate and they all have been talking about coming back! After last year when so many left and aren't even playing any roles or even made a team? What's the point if its not a guarantee your ready? Players like these should be 1st, 2nd rounders so I wouldn't leave unless I'm a sure bet! Another year will not hurt them at all! This year it's actually a smart move and last year should of been a lesson to some of these guys! Mingo, Morris C, E Reid, and our Mike and the seniors should of been the only ones that left!! The RBs also we wee just too deep and they weren't going any higher! But done of those guys weren't ready! Moe and even Reid could of come back another year just to try and win a ship?? That's a huge accomplishment bf you leave man!! And they would of only gotten better! I think Montgomery should of stayed too!

I think they'll both return. Rasco will be here too.

Our DTs should have great depth next season. The secondary will be really good.

The question marks, to me, are on offense.

But that's a different thread. Don't want to hijack this one.

Any DL coach can look good when they have talent like LSU's had the last few years. The mark of a really good coach is when they can coach up young and inexperienced athletes after a mass exodus like what happened after last season.

I'll be honest. Haven't been that impressed with Haley's coaching this year. Not much development or improvement from the DL from game one to game 12. (Just like the team)

Wouldn't mind seeing Orgeron coming in and taking over the DL next season if he doesn't stay at USCw. Of course, Miles/Alleva would have to sit down with Orgeron before any hire and let him know in no uncertain terms, that LSU is not going to tolerate any foolishness or funny business in recruiting.

Brick played LB in college, so he could move over there and Chavis could take over the "Headless Chicken Secondary." That would be a much stonger overall defensive staff.

New OL coach with experience.
Orgeron to DL.
Haley to LB's.
Chavis to DB's.

Thanks for the effort Stud and Raymond, but yall aint LSU material.

LSU can also do better at TE, WR and ST too, but doubt if Miles would make a move there because those positions are not visibly defective enough to warrant a change. (At least in LM's eyes)

these projections of aj being worth a 2nd round pick are laughable.

Johnson for some reason has not looked near as cat quick and fast in open spaces chasing QBs or RBs as he has been billed or as we saw early in his career. As some posters have suggested, it is logical to wonder if he has been dealing with minor injuries plaquing him all season. Hope he returns to that level of talent we know he has.

Brave heart I agree with you 100%. Coaches have not earned their money this year. I personally think several of them like Stud are coasting on their salary. Stud makes $400k as a fricking O line coach. Seriously?

This just baffles me. I like the kid but who the Frick is giving him high draft grades. He's thrown around like a rag doll every week. He makes zero significant plays. Go watch the AtM game again. We dominated that game defensively and I know we were playing contain but he got pushed so far out of the play each down that we might as well play a 3-4

I heard Mike Detillier on the radio the other day saying that he thought that Ego was a mid to late 2nd and that Johnson was a top 75 guy - maybe a few picks later than Ego. Just one guy's opinion, but he does put out a draft report for a living.
