I would prob be upset too. But hey, it's a dire situation. I don't think it was done to appease LSU. I think the fact that the Dome hosted a game 2 nights ago showed espn that they are greased up and ready to go again. From a monetary standpoint having it in Nola makes the most sense too. Money is money. 60k lsu fans spends more than an 80/20 split.

Let's face it, BYU has no shot of winning no matter where it is. Being an lsu home game doesn't really matter in the end.

The one flaw with your entire "argument" is that, as some media folks have pointed out, NRG and the Superdome are owned by the same entity, which apparently made it very easy to move to New Orleans.

Plus, it's just a whiny argument.

Maybe LSU can exorcise some demons by winning a game in the Superdome. Our program hasn't been the same since the last time we played there on 1/9/2012.

LSU won a national championship last time they played a regular season game in the Superdome

No BYU (and its national fanbase)= no $4 million offer for LSU to play in this game. ESPN most certainly cares in their investment. You're just a regional school anyways so what would y'all

Wait 1st you have a national fanbase then your fans all have to travel long distances. Which is it?

Yes BYU has a national fanbase because its a religious school, but obviously its not that big or it would have been invited into the Pac12. Instead they took Utah so that sink in for a minute. The expansion was based on TV market shares. Utah apparently was better than BYU.

For LSU this game served 2 purposes. 1st for recruiting Texas, 2nd its treated as an openning bowl game for donors. The LSU Alumni Association has package deals and brings in donors from around the country.

BYU is by far the worst team LSU has opened with in a neutral site game. This year I guess we got a big name scrub team which is nice considering our road schedule later in the season.

One last question. When was the last time BYU has played in a New Years day bowl?

Yeah, we realize it's a logistical nightmare to coordinate your twelve wives, and 36 children to such a drastic change in destination. I realize you are upset. Maybe since Mormons are known for being so good with money, why don't you just buy a few big screens, and have a viewing at your cult compound in the middle of nowhere in Utah?

Umm. 1 and 4 are the same thing and 2 and 3 are the same.

So you have 2 reasons it's dumb...and both don't matter

I will be very honest. BYU isn't good enough of a team to warrant a neutral site game. It should have been in Tiger Stadium to begin with with no return game.

Your plan stupid since Espn cares so much about your school. How are we getting these primetime first games every single year?

It actually is a bad idea. Don't drop the soap. Glad I didn't buy tickets to the game now

Its pretty apparent that ESPN sees BYU as every bit the valuable asset that LSU is because we have a bigger fan base.

I was playing along until I read this idiocy. You are a troll....nothing more, nothing less. No real poster with half a brain in his head would post this and actually believe it.

The game should have been moved to The Swamp in Gainsville. BYU fans won't travel well anywhere, it's still a neutral site game, gives LSU fans a chance to troll UF fans again, drunk eat leave a big mess and come home with a W! Would have been epic.
