Who's bitching? Would you waste a redshirt year for just a few snaps and some special teams play?

To make the special teams play better you should. That's usually where young LBs start out.

Guess you guys forget the whole record number of players leaving early. Young guys had to play.

Not sure if it's the case in all 3 circumstances, but you're not sitting on Momma's couch looking these young men in the face telling them they can play immediately.

Its not a waste to add depth. Those 2 players played their freshman year. They also played special teams.

At no point is that a waste. Yall are also under the impression that these giys stay for a 5th year which is not something most players do if they are expected to go to the nfl.

You're just looking for reasons to argue, I just take some satisfaction that you had to do research on meaningless snaps in meaningless games on a friday night to find Danielle Hunter's 2012 stats, good for you

Yeah ill take satisfaction in actually knowing something before posting it.

Congrats on posting something wrong.

Also, it took me less than 30 seconds to type in," Danielle Hunter lsu".

The point is, they should not of played, they could of found someone else to play those special team snaps

Lol so you could bitch about how horrible the special team's play is?

God we have the dumbest fans on the planet.

Who cares about depth? No need to ever give another player a breather.Just play the same 11 on offense, the same 11 on defense and just starters on ST. Great program plan.

you gotta hand it to Aranda for turning Duke into what he did

This is true, Aranda had a lot to do with it. But what is often lost in translation is that many of LSU's linebackers have BOOM senior campaigns.

Debo had a superb senior campaign. Does Steele not get the credit for Debo's emergance?

I credit the players first and foremost, for patiently waiting their turn, while developing, gaining strength, and learning to process the nuances and subtleties of their respective positions. And then when their time comes, they make the best of it.

We have been so decimated at the LB position since the Chief era... yet you'd never know it by watching our former linebackers who are active NFL starters. And the incoming guys just might pan out to be the best LB core we've seen.

Sheesh. 31 posts after the OP in this thread (which I thought was actually pretty compelling) and only three of them were even remotely related to the OP, two of them just barely. Of course it immediately degenerated into an argument over something completely unrelated and as always, included at least a few instances of butchered spelling, grammar, or word usage.

No kidding. This particular crap drives me INSANE. Absolutely pathetic that people think this is proper grammar. This is the one constant mistake that I'm tempted to blast the user on every time but I don't really want to be that big of a grammar Nazi. So I just do it occasionally.

SO!! With all that out of the way... I say HELL YES in reference to the OP. I'd love to hear more details as to how Riley equates Coach O's practices to the Senior Bowl practices. I never have been nearly as down on the man as head coach as many were, but I really find myself more and more optimistic all the time. I think he could wind up having some great success.

This one sentence contains at least 5 examples of "butchered" spelling, grammar, punctuation and word usage. Go.
