I am going to let you in on a secret. New Alex Box was built in 2009 and Doo Doo was built in 2019.

Here is the Secret. Once you build the best and someone out does you 10 years later. You do not get a do over. Some one some place some event will always try and do better.

Do you understand.

Why is the program that’s never won a title have a better stadium/atmosphere than us?

i’d rather watch my team win 6 titles in a shitbox than watch my team never win it all in the greatest stadium ever created.

I will go on record. I am in favor of tearing down the new Box and building the Taj Mahal of college baseball stadiums. We went on the cheap when we didn't have to. We don't have to be stuck with a second rate stadium forever. It will pay for itself. Downvote if you want to but that is my opinion.

It may have been built in 09 but it was built cheaply, plain and simple. Example, South Carolinas stadium was built in 09 and is much better than the Box. Baum was built in the 90s and is better than the Box.

Looks GREAT n TV! PACKED FULL OF FANS! Dudy Noble Field is Rockin' & Rollin". Barely a MASK in the place!

Meanwhile Nanny State John Bel Edwards & the a-hole MASK Marshals make the BOX seem like a High School atmosphere

Dudy was built by an architect that understood college baseball and was built with passion.

Janet Marie Smith a State Architect grad and current VP of planning and development for the Dodgers had a lot of design input

She oversaw the design and construction of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the preservation and improvements at Fenway Park and the transformation of the 1996 Olympic Stadium into Turner Field in Atlanta, where she also oversaw the development of Philips Arena (then home to the Hawks). Her renovations on Camden Yards set the standard for baseball’s new wave of ballparks when it opened in 1992

Alex Box wasn’t even state of the art when it was built. It’s a joke

I remember watching the final Tigers/Bulldogs game at the old Dudy Noble. Those poor fans deserve a nice stadium. I remember those pathetic scaffolding plazas and the broken down trucks and run down motor homes.

Truth hurts. At best the box these days at best is the fifth best stadium behind State, Ole Piss, Arkansas and Florida

The Box is in the bottom half of SEC ballparks. It's pretty sad honestly

Alex box doesn’t need to be redone. They just need to renovate it and add chair backs down both lines. Then add some architecture to the outfield and seats that wrap the stadium.

Exactly. I still think The Box has greatness within it's grasp.

You must know that the same firm that did those were also the architects for Alex Box. I actually showed LSU personnel around another college stadium during the planning stages for the new Alex Box. With that being said I was truly disappointed in some aspects of the build after hearing what they were shooting for.

They did go cheap in a number of areas and just punted after the main stands were finished.

I think the problem with Alex box stadium is all the aluminum seats down the side and in the outfield. I think if they would brick it all down both sides. And the build in the outfield. The aluminum looks cheap and like what you see in high school stadiums. Also all the advertisement all over the outfield wall. I think those 2 changes would make a huge differences. Then later work on building something in the outfield,.

It’s getting national attention with the media tonight. Meanwhile we had a few hundred in the box last night.
