Is so much better of a ballpark than Alex Box. Just a thought.

Wish we would have fan friendly architecture and entertainment and not just “generic baseball stadium” look.

20 years from now that stadium will still lap the new box

Alex box doesn’t need to be redone. They just need to renovate it and add chair backs down both lines. Then add some architecture to the outfield and seats that wrap the stadium.

The box is 12 years old, fricking ancient I tell you. Love the crap bleachers we have when we are one of the few baseball programs that actually turns a profit.

Yes, because it was built a decade after the new box and they did it right. Don't forget how much the fan base loved the new box initially.

Did we?

Maybe we were just oblivious to it because the team was so good in 09.

Dudy was built by an architect that understood college baseball and was built with passion. The box was built by someone who googled baseball stadiums and put it together in a weekend

Talking to State fans at the Box this year they sound just like lsu fans. They aren’t huge fans of it because they commercialized the outfield. Said it’s a nice stadium but doesn’t have the same atmosphere as it used to.

Agreed The Box is a dump compared to Dudy Noble. Went to our series there 2 years ago, it was a sight to see.

My point. Why is the program that’s never won a title have a better stadium/atmosphere than us?

I'm a minority but I like the New Box more than the old. Primarily because The Concourse makes games much more accessible for us who've been in left field since it was built ~1996

In the Old Box we had no way to get up behind home plate and watch for a couple innings. It's also nice to get out of the sun in later season games.

TLDR the concourse makes the New Box better than the Old Box.
