Look who started the thread. That's what they do. In their "culture" it's really cool. Drinking/Getting Drunk is the Holy Gosphel to not only the Gumps, but to all the trashy Neanderneck cretins everywhere that can't deal with their lives. That's why they can't attend ANY athletic event without drinking. All that drinking numbs the pain for a few hours, but it's soon back to the real world for the freaks..........

Numbs the pain for a few hours? WTF is wrong with you? What are you even talking about?

This was 25 years or so ago now.

I was boozed up.

I was seated on the end of the aisle at Husky Stadium, the concourse was to my right.
We made a huge stop on a third down and I jumped up and pumped my right arm.
There was a very nicely dressed lady holding a carrier with not 1, but 4, coffees.
I brought my right arm up in a congratulory fashion and knocked every ounce of hot beverage all over this gal.
She was a very handsome gal and was wearing a beautiful camel-hair jacket and the look on her face was priceless.

That was nothing that she had ever seen before or since.

I still see it in my dreams and regret it, yet I giggle.

I said 'sorry' but for some reason I don't think that was good enough for her.

The beauty of it is, I bet she still tells this story as much as I do.

If she is reading this though, I am truly sorry about that.

She shoulda been paying attention to the game though..

this but add a fifth of evan williams, a dyke cop and the driveman getting cooked and booked for trespassing after they wouldn't let me in the stadium.

Easily the 1990 A&M game. Started drinking beer, bourbon and "Kirby Kool-Aid" by 6 a.m. Hit at least two other tailgate parties. At some point I was standing on a 3rd story ledge on South Graham Hall with a buddy of mine tigerbaiting Aggie fans and leading LSU fans in cheers as the crowds passed by underneath us, while doublefisting a bourbon and coke and a beer, both in liter mugs. Have no idea how we got up there or down. Next memory is a vague recollection of the A&M band doing some marching maneuver thad made me feel seasick, and Todd Kinchen returning a punt 897 yards for a 60 yard TD. Ended up drinking til 2 AM at the Tiger and all night afterwards in the dorm, then finished up doing tequila shots on the Indian Mounds as the sun came up.

Or at least that's how I think I remember it.

Just thinking about drinking that much makes my over-the-hill arse nauseous now.

At a Bama game in Bama. Me and a buddy partied and drank all day and night. I think we got back to the hotel about 5AM.

He called me about 7 to wake me up. I asked him if he wanted to go eat breakfast. He told me, it's 7PM, not 7AM!

I guess 7AM and 7PM look the same when you look out of the window.

My worst is Saints/Bucs in Tiger Stadium. Every bottle we drank was placed behind us on the empty bleachers. I was too drunk to count, but there were four of us, and those plastic bottles were lined by two and streched past us on each side. The only thing I remember was Brooks throwing 3 picks and as we walked out of the stadium, my buddy grabbed a cardboard box. He said, "Why not, it's heavy enough!" It was a full box of programs to the game.

if you don't have a video, I am not telling.
if you have one, I am denying it.

I will give you a warning !, not that I am confessing mind you..
DALLAS COWBOYS-PHILADELPHIA- MONDAY NITE GAME "YEARS" BACK..an unintentional mishap.

In the Luxury Suites, at least at the Cowboys Stadium, the bartenders/waitresses get paid by the number of bottles they empty....
I guess then it is like 34 drinks per bottle X $$.
...even if they get it all in one drink
...so be aware....there will be liquor in those drinks.

1st-2003 Auburun! Fist time getting to sit in a "box". I worked the night before all night left the job went home took a shower and headed out for the tailgate party! during the day I drank damn near a fith of crown and multiple beers in between. I made it to the box sat down and before kickoff I passed out and did not wake up untill the end of the 3rd quater! From what I was told it was an awesome game.

2nd-2006 Alabama dont even remeber what I was drinking (but I was fricked up) we had seats rite next to the AL band. The entire game I tried fighting the entire band! eventually my cousin had enough of my shenanagins and decided it was time to go. On the way back to the truck, crossing the track that run along nicholson, I fell in a huge mud hole. and then got in my brand 2 week old new truck. Needles to say I was pissed the next morning.

Ahhhhhhhhh memories!

Just a question about getting drunk and going to a big game. If you go to all the trouble to get tickets, get to the game and really enjoy football. Why get blasted and miss it.

I had this epiphany several years back. I finally realized that I liked LSU football more than I liked getting drunk (I couldn't enjoy both at the same time).

I got stupid drunk for the 2007 (2006 season) Sugar Bowl. We got to our hotel early that morning, and it wasn't a real pretty day, so we just ate and drank all day long.

We got to our seats, which were first row behind the Notre Dame band.... wow.

I had to buy the game DVD, and everything seemed new to me when watching it.... (except the brutal outcome of the game)

Like everything is life, it's about balance. I decided as well that I prefer football to being drunk.

Personally, I've given up hard liquor on a game day (except maybe an early bloody mary) and stick to beer only. This generally prevents blackouts or really going over the top.
