What was the final sentence for Updyke? This is worse I assume due to it being a sex crime vs. a person? I think I'm actually more offended by poisoning old oaks than by seeing a Tiger fan tea bagged on Bourbon...

considering Updyke was arrested on a terrorizing charge in Hammond like a week or so ago... he's in a lot more trouble now

Seems like a stiff penalty and the judge must be nuts. I assume this guy will most likely be sacked from his job and live the rest of his days with a tainted reputation. A more reasonable punishment in my brain would be probation and have him reach into the old coin purse for a fine.

I don't think it is rough at all.
This wasn't his friend. It was a random person, and he put his sack on his face. And it was being recorded and could have reasonable foreseen it was going to be put on the internet.
This isn't 7th grade anymore. I love getting drunk and having a good time as much as anyone, but you have to realize the limits of the adult world. What he did was completely disrespectful and completely illegal.
He deserves to be made an example of.
This wasn't his friend. It was a random person, and he put his sack on his face. And it was being recorded and could have reasonable foreseen it was going to be put on the internet.

Can you imagine how many times he looks in the mirror and says "i cant believe i did that stupid shite!" I mean it was wrong and stupid but I been to prison and 2 years for that is a tad extreme. Then he has to do his time in La and they are going to drive his arse wherever he ends up.

In this Gump's opinion the punishment is either to the lenient side or just right.
This man is old enough to have known better. His cop uncle probably helped him get away with lesser offenses for years and this guy never got a clue. Had he been 18, I may have looked at this differently.
This is disruptive to his life beyond the time spent in prison or bootcamp. And it should be...Had he gotten away with this one, who knows what he might have tried to pull next?
