Especially comparing with his present title, and last night's title of "Hannigriff downplaying LSU's chance of even competing" which as you say was itself trying to stretch what really happened.
To have the current title, when Hannigriff made a point to say MULTIPLE times he was not saying that....is pretty fricked up.
Take off the purple and gold glasses. I'm not happy with the position, but that doesn't change the fact we are in a significant rebuilding year about to play a squad which possibly ranks among the best all time in the sport.
Suggesting we would have to play a perfect game to Bama needing to make mistakes for us to win is not unreasonable in the slightest, and is a far cry from your thread title.
But it is almost a quote for what you felt was so offensive.

Hannigriff said what he said, LSU can't compete with Ala, that it would take Ala playing their worst basically giving the game away for that team to lose and LSU playing their best.

Correct he didn't say LSU wouldn't win, he said Alabama would have to play their worst and LSU their best! So LSU fans' only hope is that Bama gives this one away. I disagree.

Personally I like Hannigriff's show, but took great offense to his characterization of the game with Alabama. I know he hates Alabama, but he was so self conscience about not wanting it to appear so on air, that he really screwed the pooch on this one.
LSU has enough talent to beat Alabama, that's all he had to say.

I swear some of you get so butt hurt anytime a sportscaster predicts LSU may lose a game.
Anyone who is objective can see Bama will be a significant favorite. Future lines in Vegas (the most objective people in world since they only care about money) will have Bama as a 20 point favorite.
LSU does not match up well, but be happy that we've turned our season around and can still have a successful year - which seemed impossible a few weeks ago. Always nice to play Bama to see where you stack up against the best, but it's very reasonable expect loss 7 in a row to Bama to be lopsided.

I listened to his postgame and Hanny did say Bama is much much better than us, with more depth and talent. Which is true. He also talked about the pigs fly game and T-shirt he still has. I thought he was fair in what he said.
What I find shocking in this thread is the very same people that are pissed that Hanny said it were saying that Moo State and even Troy were “more talented” than us and we were rebuilding and needed to give O 3 years before we could expect to beat Sun Belt teams. If Troy and Moo State are more talented and some of you said it, how can you take issue with anyone suggesting Bama is as well?
I don’t always agree with Hanny but I do think he is the most honest commentator we have. Like all he does use hyperbole but I don’t find him “shock sports jockish” like some others.
