LSU's Guice set a SEC record rushing and that LSU back that Hannigriff calls average, Williams, broke a LSU record rushing and receiving. The only way LSU wins is if Alabama gives it to them on a platter according to Hannigriff.

But I got a different take.

LSU didn't really try to stop Ole Miss from rushing the ball because Aranda's defense wasn't trying to, they were focused on stopping Ole Miss's formidable passing attack, and the Tigers damn sure did.

Alabama doesn't have a formidable passing attack, so Aranda will have LSU's Defense focusing on stopping Bama's running game which means putting more Tigers in the box, he now feels comfortable doing that because LSU's secondary is playing exceptionally well. If Bama can't pass the ball, LSU can damn sure compete.

So Hanny is wrong!

You're going to hear that from most of the talking heads for the next two weeks and Vegas will likely agree with them.

Having watched LSU rebound from the troy loss I have confidence this team will come out motivated and hungry.

Still, bama is good.

One week from now, pumpers will be believing LSU can go 16-0 in the NFL

Do you think we have a formidable passing attack?

While you're at it you should start a thread about why LSU deserves to be in the national title hunt.

Hanny might be wrong but it’s more likely he’s right.

We don't even have a "bad" passing attack. We can only aspire to that.

Lol at you saying LSU didn't really try to stop the rush. The fact is LSU has problems getting gashed up the middle and Alabama will feast upon this.

To be fair, Bama is MUCH MUCH better on defense than ON. Fg's won't cut it with Bama. We have to be able to connect on throws longer than 15 yrs (in the air) or it will be disastrous.
Last night was a nice win, but Bama beat those clowns by 50.
We can compete with Bama on all levels except their OL will have their way with our DL.

This team will be jacked up and ready. And in this frickin weird year anything could happen...

But LSU shouldn't beat Bama. Not unless LSU plays flawlessly and Bama shows up in a coma.

But I'd rather wallow in Ole Miss tears for a little while longer and enjoy this win for at least today.

LSU is still weak on runs between the tackles on defense. Alabama will exploit that and eventually wear LSU down. On offense, I kind of feel bad for Etling because Alabama's front 7 will be 3 yards in the backfield before he can even get his fingers on the laces of the football.

It's not realistic to believe LSU can be competitive in this game. LSU is not there yet physically, and Alabama is just that good. If LSU competes, great, but no one should be shocked or appalled if they don't. Alabama probably wins this by 20-30.

LSU's Oline is finally getting comfortable with this offense, the offense will confuse Alabama's defense at times, no one player to key on, there will be opportunities for LSU to score I promises you, LSU just better not blow it when they do.

We've got a good shot at winning the rest of the schedule...except Alabama. I see absolutely no chance we even keep the score close.

Coach O should just agree and say LSU can't compete with Alabama, he said LSU didn't have a field goal kicker, and that turned out well.
