The entire staff should. Anytime you win the SEC you should be rewarded

I believe as a staff they are paid rather well. Without researching I would guess top 10 in the country. Seems to me that part of their pay comes with expectations to win or compete for SEC titles. They also get rewarded for bonuses for doing so.

sure HOPE they give the man a raise, he's certainly earned it.
Not really. considering how much freaking money he makes I don't think so, esp. considering how the season ended. It couldn't have been worse.

I think there should be incentives based on performance. Don't care if it's bonus or salary, but believe salary based would be better since you should also be able to dock a coach for less than stellar expectations as well as reward for winning the conference, BCS.

I think we are somewhat in agreement.

I say set the base salary for 8 wins a year and every win over that earns the coaches a bonus.

I agree. Certainly, a disgrace to the coaching profession. Nobody in any profession should get a raise for such poor performance. In fact, it appeared INTENTIONAL like a suicidal kamikaze mission. Not many fans or, more importantly, sponsors would like to pay the big bucks for witnessing that sort of misery in the future. Isn't that the real problem $$$$ financial support??? Just wondering...

They are and when that staff takes LSU to an undefeated SEC season and a BCSCG appearence, they probably will get paid even better.

They have been payed rather lucratively for quite some time so why should they get a raise when they earn their salary?

Don't you agree that the level of pay they recieve comes with expectations of winning SEC titles?

This is why incentive based contracts would be fairer for everyone involved. On years where they don't meet expectations they will get paid accordingly and years in which they do exceed expectations they will be rewarded.

I would say 6 conference wins for a program like LSU's right now. To consider the OOC is a bit silly when you can schedule 3-4 rent a wins a year. Bonus for the SEC championship, another for the BCS. Make the BCS bonus HUGE. But for salary, it falls or rises every year based on 6 conference wins.

I am all for it. I think most people try harder when incentives are involved. And I am not saying our coaches don't try as hard as they can now.

If you will be upset and outraged if Miles gets a raise.... I suggest you not pay attention to the news for the next several months... 'Cause if Miles' boss doesn't give a raise, extension, and reward him.... Alleva is a fool.

Your butthurt over the BCS loss will not prevent Alleva from recognizing Les' excellent track record.
