If he is not the total focus of the offense, can he still win? I can see his presence really opening up the passing game, but can a successful passing game win LF the big prize?

Not after the first two games of the season.

You can do almost nothing in the first two games and win the Heisman. That award is like 75% November production.

Obviously I want both, but I'd much rather a playoff appearance and winning the SEC than an individual award. I'm sure if you asked Leonard, he'd say the same thing.

300 yards a game, 13.4 yards per touch, 34 TDs from here to a Natty? Yeah he could win it, lulz

The entire LSU team missed the 1st game of the year last year, and Fournette still led the way all year until the Bama game. So yea, there is that.

Its not a stat award.

Yes, if Leslie employs a passing game of any consequence it should better the running game

yes absoulutely. A big time passing game will really open up the running game for fornette. Etling is just what fournette needs to have a shot at the Heisman. Without a passing game Fournettes chances will sink like the titanic just like they did last November.
