Opening game 1976? Nebraska was number one till they came here.

yes, came from a wedding in north La and was late for kickoff. had to stand in an exit to watch the game. it was a big deal.

We were yelling all game long. Back when students stayed all game and paid attention to the game. I phones to stare at.

Yes I was there. LSU had the ball on about the 2 yard line and kicked the ball for a 6-6 tie with little time left. LSU had been moving the ball and to this day I believe LSU would have scored had they gone for it.

And student section - which was much bigger then - was essentially SRO. Most exciting 6-6 game I've ever been to.
