Alleva told Orgeron to stay the hell out of the way and the ultimate result yesterday was a nice comeback win.

So we are paying a coach 3.5 million NOT to coach.

This flawed system is also why, in the long run, the Orgeron era will be a waste of time and will set this program back at least twice as many years as Orgeron is HC and Alleva is AD.

For what exactly? Face it the guy just is a poor AD if you’re being judged by anything but squeezing money out of the fan base.

Does the guy that hired someone for 12 million dollars to not coach get credit for reiterating to the guy that he is not supposed to coach after him coaching cost us two embarrassing wins???

Sure, I'll give him credit for that I guess.

Pretty sure Clemson won a national championship last year with a "stay outta the way, let the coordinators do their thing, and just recruit" kind of coach. We fired a championship coach last year, properly so, because he was too involved. I'm ok with this--we won the game this year which we lost last year.

Absolutely!!! It's cause of his film study that LSU has made this turn around.

One should not get "credit" for cleaning up the mess he single-handedly created in the first place. And it's only temporarily stabilized, there's still a mess there, trust me.

Alleva must go:

-botched firing of Les Miles, national embarrassment (Alleva was the leak btw)
-botched Florida hurricane situation, national embarrassment, LSU somehow became the bad guy and still lost a home game in that whole deal
-botched coaching search last year, national embarrassment, irrational and emotionally rash hire of Orgeron
-$12 million Orgeron buyout... fiscally and ethically irresponsible, borderline criminal based on the inherent conflicts of interest

Alleva must go.

Although he is primarily known as a "Search Guy", nobody breaks down film like Alleva.
Nobody.

all of this is based on a rumor of what went down in the meeting. A narrative pushed by the O haters to discredit him. You think coach O is not coaching and does not get credit for the last 2 wins. come on. think about what you are posting.

Such a dumb statement after the results of the last 2 games. The program is moving in the right direction. Injured players coming back healthy, young players getting experience, leadership developing, players not quitting when down, players understanding the new off system better, soft play is gone, etc. I will enjoy watching "this waste of time" the remainder of the year.
