If your Aleva and Fisher is your target and you fire Miles with the understanding that Fisher is your guy and you never look him in the eye or meet with him face to face you should be bitten on the taint with the power of 1,000,000 gremlins
I can see a resignation on Sunday, but I don' think he will resign

you can but it's worth nothing. sure, LSU can use that to vacate the position and the coach in question will probably honor it but if he doesn't, for any reason (my wife doesn't want to live there, etc, etc) there's nothing LSU can do about it. in fact, it would be really embarrassing if it got out to the media and public.
i don't mean to quibble, i just think the notion of having a coach ready to do is just not done and can't think of one instance where it has been done.

If so, someone should bail him out.

What are the contract rules coaches normally sign up to? I know that when you hear a school wants to look at a coach, the school that the coach is currently at has to "grant permission" for the inquiring school to interview them.
Are those rules rigid or are they meaningless or is it typical that coaches allow their agents to negotiate on their behalf before "permission is granted," and is that allowed?

Herman is not the one. I'd rather Les.

So adamant. I like it. Reverse jinx.

Who knows. It gets crazier by the minute.
I have to say that I really don't like the way the AD has been handling it.

At this point I would hope so. If Alleva has allowed this to fester this long and doesn't have his man secured. he has seriously screwed the pooch and should be fired immediately.

Who's pumping sunshine now?

Maybe not locked up, but I'm sure there is a contract drawn up (definitely for Jimbo) and financial matters being worked on at the moment.

I think so. Just waiting for them to finish their season.
No, I don't think they have someone lined up.
I don't think Jimbo is going to LSU, either.

I don't know why but I have a feeling it's going to be Gary Patterson. I have heard that LSU is a job that he has always wanted.
