I know we all have purple and gold tinted glasses when it comes to JB. But I am seeing more and more analysts who seems to think Tua amongst others will have a better NFL career than Joe. Obviously no one can say yet but do you think he will become a household name on the NFL or just a very solid QB for a long time (think Phillip Rivers)?

I think he will be like Rivers or Romo. Above average QBs, but not Brady/Brees caliber.

I do see way more of a possibility he is Elite than a bust.

Edit: I say this because of where he will play.

He will be at least as good as Phillip rivers. Depends if the bengals leave him out to dry every game

He has the mentality and the drive to become special. Definitely plenty of talent to work with.

He has the mental and physical ability to be a top 3 QB in the league.

All depending on what kind of team Cincinnati puts on the field with him...

You never really know, no matter how good someone was in college. But I sure as hell wouldn't bet against the guy.

You think a guy that has been to 8 Pro Bowls should be classified "above average"?

I truly believe he will be a star on the level of peyton manning due to his strong work ethic and leadership

I think Burrow will be a top tier QB because he has the intangibles:
Mental toughness - can handle adversity and won't let difficult situations derail his career
Physical toughness - will not be shaken by getting hit
Mental acuity - ability to process information quickly as well as digest intricacies of a complex offense
Drive - "Don't let good get in the way of being great". He will not get by on ability alone. Will push to get better
Thrives in chaos - Is just as dangerous when the play breaks down as when all is on schedule

Some of the best all time QBs did not have rocket arms or physically elite skills (Montana, Brees, Brady, Manning), but had intangibles that made them great.

If you define Tom Brady as a superstar, then yes, I believe Joe Burrow will be a superstar.

I think it depends on where he plays the make up of that team. I know he's got the talent and skills. I hope he eventually ends up somewhere at which he can shine.

The unfortunate news is that Cincinnati has the first pick and they do not have all of the pieces of the successful puzzle. If he should land at a more promising team like the Saints he will rise to the top like cream in the old time milk bottles before homogenized milk was introduced. But his career will not blossom as an Ohio Bengal
