You can ask the same exact question about AJ McCarron

beat me to it. Thanks.

Of course you can but if you look over this season we don't seem to make it a priority to hit QB's. We allowed florida and Tenn QB's lots of time and played more of a let the young QB make a mistake type of defense. Against Auburn we brought more pressure. We do have a good number of sacks but I think it would be fair to say some were purely coverage sacks. I hope we blitz AJ b/c I think he will fold under pressure.

Bama on the other hand has a head coach that stresses.."we must affect the QB" it is his MO. I have to think it will be a priority for bama to hit JL.

Obv its and advtg to us and for them too I suppose to throw the ball when you want to, instead of when you have to.

I just dont want to see us run the ball against 7-8 on first and second down for a whole half before we change.
Thats what we did vs tenn in the first half.

And UK. I think the 1st down stats in the 1st half were close to 11 attempts for 17 yards. Not exactly sure, but it was bad.

it's really floored me when I hear analysts give the QB edge to Bama. WTF has Mccarron proved?

Good thing is, we have a VERY capable backup that can come in. Maybe two.
No.....we don't.
Yes, we do.

If we have to rely solely on the backup, Saban will decimate that offense. It's gonna take everybody.
Just like Saban did last year?

Jefferson against Alabama 2010
10 completions on 13 attempts (77%) for 141 yards (10.8 ypa) with 1 TD and 0 Int
7 carries for 27 yards (3.9 ypc)

Well, they have played Penn St. and that hellacious defense.

I've been saying this for about 2 weeks. He hasn't been pressured AT ALL this year....NOTHING. I've watched their games. I'm sure Gumps will try to justify his protection somehow.....

But what happens when he does come under pressure? What happens when he makes a small mistake vs. LSU's DB's?

Again, this defense is WAY too fast for the screen to work time and time again. Richardson is McCarron's safety valve every time.

I anxious to see what McCarron does when he panics.....and he will panic Saturday. It takes Mingo a half a second to get into the backfield.

I expect Lee to go to Beckham to beat the pressure. Looking for 33 to have a game similar to Josh Reed in that record setting game of his.

What's the difference?

Experience? Jefferson and Lee have more experience as well.

Just because Bama's defense has gained that valuable experience, doesn't mean every one else didn't.

While I don't think Lee is very good when pressure crowds him, he's pretty exceptional at picking up and throwing behind the blitz. It's how he roasted UF last year.

I was referring moreso to alabama than us.

Au dominated us last year.
We dominated au this year.

funny enough, the clown you responded to said that last year didn't matter, remember?

How it didn't matter what the stats were last year because we have a new QB coach and offense now so things are different, remember?

now all of a sudden last year is relevant. It is gotten truly pathetic.

I want to, but I don't think I'll ever have complete trust. His fadeaway passing style will always scare me.

But he's not terrible.

Which is more than we can say for McCarron. Because we don't know.

McCarron was under 50% vs. Florida's trash DL.

So you think we won't throw underneath the safeties when the LBs come with pressure ? ODB/Shep will light up those 250lb+ LBs in coverage. Or, do you think our OL can't block a 3 man front ?

So if I said JL won that game b/c of the third down pass you would say definitely what JJ did had no bearing at all in that game.
